Mom and I watched a video on CBC about twin girls, Tatiana and Krista Hogan, and their family. Tomorrow will be their birthday. I hope the young ladies are well and enjoy the day. Happy Birthday!

Allowance Rip Up - I'd tell them to put the money back together well enough for the bank to accept it as legal tender again. Until they accomplished that, there would be no handouts until they get a job of their own. I would not think this was cute or funny.

I think people in North America have become too panicked about everything needing to be sterile/ sterilized. This would not work. Plastic is only used more often here, no matter what they ban/ say.

Some supermarkets in Thailand use banana leaves to wrap fresh food, replacing disposable plastics. This biodegradable alternative makes use of agricultural byproducts and reduces the environmental impact of conventional packaging.

I NEVER use the self checkout. Having a discount would not change my mind about avoiding it. Also, 10% is a lot for the supermarkets to lose. Maybe this will end up being a reason to close down the self checkouts, or have less of them. That would be a good thing.

What a beautifully simple counteraction to the devaluation of human labor. ❀️

Obviously not counting the wars he has started himself, including the ongoing trade war with Canada.

Trump just had a massive meltdown over losing the Nobel Peace Prize to South African anti-apartheid jurist Navi Pillay. Trump attacked Pillay, admitted he knows nothing about her, claimed he deserves EIGHT Nobel Peace Prizes, took credit for preventing wars around the world,… 1/

Back in Paris this weekend and it’s pure Maidan vibes. The overwhelming smell of burnt cars and scooters (turns out they make great barricades). Looted supermarkets, jewellery shops & pharmacies. Real mayhem on the edges of a mostly peaceful protest against the collapse of France’s education system.

I was surprised to hear that the Degrassi series star, Neil Hope, had died years ago. CBC has a report about it. www.cbc.ca/player/play/... He was actually deceased before this report, years before. No one knew he had died, alone and unwell. #CanadianHistory #OntarioHistory

cbc.caDegrassi star diesThe creators of the Degrassi franchise confirmed Thursday that Neil Hope, who played Derek "Wheels" Wheeler, died five years ago. Rumours of the Canadian actor's death first emerged online in January.

I never got into the cell phone craze. It seems like a small screen for short ideas and a nagging presence I can do without. I do have one, somewhere on my desk. Its dead, forgotten, abandoned. I don't understand how/why people find use for them. Other than being forced to for "verification".

Be careful what accounts you follow on social media. A LOT of them are just AI pollution. Generated content, random and often incorrect, to make money for someone sitting behind the scenes doing not much at all. A lot of Canadian history accounts are actually US based.
