Have a fun Art Fight everyone! Here’s an updated sheet, now with all the character portraits! I’ve already got a list of some attacks I want to do, so I’ll be posting as soon as I can. #oc #art #artfight #artfight2026 #artfightteammystery

It’s been a bit since I’ve posted art, but I gotta get back to the swing of things! I ADORED Belmont’s Curse, and while I won’t get to play Ravenous, I’m so happy that two of my favorite franchises are back and spotlighting cursed arm girlies. WE ARE SO BACK!

MILD BELMONT’S CURSE SPOILERS . . . If the next Castlevania game is called “Cemetery of Sin” or just “Cemetery of…” something, I’m gonna lose it. I already love the Dracula fight, but if his final words are an actual tease, that’s one of the coolest additions to the formula

Belmont’s Curse Grant Danasty DLC when? Like, come on, with the themes of the game you’re gonna leave out the ONE Castlevania character we KNOW was able to subdue Dracula’s curse? Not even a nod? My love for the guy is mostly a bit, but he gets shafted so consistently that my support became unironic

I wanted to talk about what is one of the most controversial aspect of Belmont’s Curse: the music. I like it! Kind of. The identity of Castlevania music has been rooted in classical mixed with rock for so long, I get it takes some getting used to a more techno beat approach to the modern half

Back into the regularly scheduled rant. I’m just a sucker for storytelling through music, and again, Fallen and Dracula aside, the soundtrack is mostly preoccupied on the vibe of a place than the characters, which is wild for the game that has chosen to go harder on the characters than ever before…

…but understandable for the game that has gone all in on the discovery and exploration aspects of the franchise. It’s a wonky puzzle piece that sure FITS, but it rattles around a bit instead of snapping into frame. Still, I’m excited to see the style evolve with future opportunities. I’ll be waiting

There’s one in the files, but it and its iterations are cut from the game, for good reason, they don’t fit the rest of the ost and the mix feels like it’s missing some layers. But considering how personal the journey becomes and how we defeat the curse, she DESERVED something.

SPOILERS IN THIS ONE‼️ I think if there was a place, it would be the Gallery of the Four Virtues. All the synth and corruption from the darkness unable to touch this place, it would’ve been a nice change of pace, only to go harder than ever for Doppleganger. As is… it’s just Notre Dame. Disappointing

…but my problem is the boss music. The Fallen’s fight kinda tricked me into believing the bosses would’ve had more memorable music than they got. If there was a time to go all out and shred it was there… and yet they take the same approach as the rest of the game, and that’s disappointing.

The ONE exception is the Dracula fight. The music in that one goes from restrained and elegant to something so grand it gives me chills. I’m gonna have it stuck in my head for a WHILE… I’m dying to discuss that fight with people, it’s so damn good. I also wish we had a proper theme for Rose.

But I really think it works for what the game is going for. The areas are VERY large, you’re gonna spend a lot of time in each of them and they all only have one track, so a long track that changes it up so often makes sense to me. Same goes for the combat. I’m already overwhelmed by everything else

The platforming, the swinging, the dodging the parrying and the killing, it’s all complimented really well by a repetitive rythm to ground you with, and yet it mixes it up often enough that I found myself stopping every once in a while to rest and just vibe. When exploring, it’s very much for me…

It’s fine if the game is not for you, but refusing to engage with the new ideas of a new entry of a franchise defined by its iteration and new ideas, specially when the last game came out nearly TWENTY YEARS AGO is… silly. And you look even sillier when some of those ideas aren’t even new to CV!

I have now finished Castlevania Belmont’s Curse. 98% completion. My game of the year. This is something I never thought in my LIFE I would be able to experience, and it was such a delight from beginning to end. This is the start of something fresh and new, and I cannot wait for what is next.

Similar thing with enemies, they ALL are awesomely designed and unique but I do sort of miss the billion weirdos of the Igavanias. Was shocked by there not being ANY plant enemies, for example… And I don’t think we’ll get an alt mode because of the game’s platformer design, but maybe side story DLC?

Over all, the franchise is looking at a bright future, with some of the best spectacle theyve done yet, and I’m dying to know what else is in the works… PLEASE KONAMI, I NOTICED YOU DROPPING ALL THOSE REFERENCES, GIVE US A 1999 GAME, THE PEOPLE ARE READY

Exploration was addictive, the combat layered and responsive, the characters are genuinely the best in the franchise. It finally felt like the battle for the soul of humanity itself the franchise has always strived for, and honestly? I dig that direction more than Netflix’s dramatic approach

There are some things I would like to see adressed in the future. The slimmed down menu is great, I can’t stand massive JRPG menus, but I do wish there was some weapon customization. Legendaries are great, but the only thing other tiers offered was more damage. All types feel fun and unique though

Oh! Ohhhhh! I was delving into the concept of the chakras, since it seems to be REALLY important to Avatar Seven Havens. I am now CONVINCED that this isn’t related to Vaatu, and it’s similar appearance is instead a big misdirect. This isn’t evil, or even chaos… it’s Survival, the blocked Root Chakra

If I’m right, they locked tf in for the spirituality of this show after the… less interesting approach that Legend of Korra took I do also note that there isn’t a single spirit so far in a world post-portals, and they didn’t even know how to refer to what the red entity is… I smell something cooking

“Bat Lad” was revealed to be the mysterious character we saw on the first cover of Legion of Superheroes… and I just want to say, this is what I wrote about him after reading #1… I’m not saying I’m right, but I sure feel like I might be close

Watched Resident Evil. Genuinely the most fun I’ve had at a theater in a WHILE. Full theater got as many laughs as it got genuine screams. Definitely not what some purists wanted, but for a Resident Evil experience? I genuinely felt like I was playing it at an arcade, which is a bizarre feeling

I should put Danasty somewhere here, just because I want that weirdo to finally get a character. The problem is that without much of one, assigning him a role is a shot in the dark… Hermit? Hanged Man? I could also see Hector fit that bill, but I do want some more space for original bosses in there

Finally played REANIMAL’s DLC. It’s great. Lots of thoughts/theories. I was a bit sad that I had to do it online, but as we were playing, my brother kept saying some stuff that didn’t make sense to me… TURNS OUT WE PLAYED IT THE RIGHT WAY, CAUSE WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE COULD SEE STUFF I CANT?! Cool af!

Calling it right now: Absolute Flash is gonna be ending to make way for Absolute Teen Titans. Lemire seems somewhat interested in revisiting Earth One ideas, and the Project Olympus name for the military research group had always weirded me out… it’s cause they’re becoming the Titans to face them.

After the Armageddon stuff, when the new Venom run was announced on Thursday I was like “neat! But I hope MJ gets her own book”. Then they announced an MJ book! AND IT WAS MARVEL’S ONLY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE REST OF THE CON. Midnight seems neat. I SURE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DRUM UP HYPE WITH

Officially released art sheets, colored pages, ANYTHING that I could sell the books with… but no. They want to keep the mystery. And I would respect that IF THERE WAS ANYTHING TO HOOK PEOPLE WITH. You kinda just threw single worm at the water in hopes of the fish flooding in and… that’s just not it
