Had to send this to a news station today... 😣 News outlets really need to be more intentional of their language, especially with crimes like these...

If you're looking for a book w/ trans🏳️‍⚧️ & autism rep check out The Spirit Bares it Teeth by @ajwhiteauthor.bsky.social! The more I read, the deeper in love I fall with this author. This is a must read - especially for Pride. Go to your local indie bookseller & grab this. #booksky #pride #amreading

AJW is an absolute master of describing experiences & feelings that have made me feel so isolated. Reading this now, I feel like its healing parts of me. I don't feel so "broken" or "wrong" or "selfish". Incredible rep for autism, feminism, society & a trans MC! This is STUNNING! #booksky #pride

I want/need to do some serious reading sprints today! Sometimes my neurodivergent brain just does not want to start a new "task" (ie reading) even though I WANT TO READ?!?!? I don't get it. Anyone else struggle with this? Got any tips? #booksky #neurodivergent

I've been raving to everyone I find lately about @pagebound.bsky.social and one of my Discords has a whole wall of text from people sharing their profiles today! 😁 ❤️ Sharing matters, friends! If you want a reading tracker w/ challenges, stats, social, planning & more, check out Pagebound! #booksky

Can't wait to start reading for the Tarot Readathon starting tomorrow! It will also be my first time reading #ACOTAR 😱 I'm a lil nervous #booksky

Used bookstore trip was a success! Traded in quite a few for credit on my account and left with two new books! #booksky

Lovely Saturday morning so far. Made coffee, did some reading sprints - 68 pages read. Enjoying my new cozy little book nook! Time to get dressed for a trip to the used bookstore?!?

Stunning oracle deck I picked up recently. The art is incredible! ❤️ #witch #oracledeck #tarot #goddess

I love creating and curating reading lists on Pagebound! What is a list you'd like to see? So far I have these three (still adding as I think of things). I'd like to start one for non-fiction at some point. #booksky

Did anyone else have the "wine ninja" craze in their area when COVID hit? It was basically local people gifting others with wine, leaving it on their porch as a pickmeup. There was a Facebook group too. Using the idea, I started an online Book Ninjas group using private wishlists... #boosky

We used Book Depository and Amazon so protect privacy and make it easy to gift others with books. There was a forum to share your link, and keep post if you sent gifts. Then you'd randomly get books in the mail with sweet notes from fellow bookworms in lock-down. <3

It was such a heartwarming experience to share photos and the joy of books with other people, especially during such a stressful time. I've been reminiscing lately and thinking about bringing the project back to life. Would anyone be interested in participating in something like this?

Tarot Readathon is starting in June! Details here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKXK... GO TEAM SWORDS! 🗡️ Pulled the Ace of Wands and the prompt is: "read a book you can’t stop thinking about, or are highly anticipating". I think I have to pick ACOTAR for this one! #booksky #readathon

Here's a few snapshots! First, what profiles look like. Next, each book has its own forum for chatter and ability to blur spoilers. Also a separate tab for reviews.

Looking at some else's profile, the system gives you a percentage overlap. A quick way to tell how similar your tastes are! (this person is a premium Royal member, see the 👑 crown?)

The 'My Taste' section is for you to pick 5 books that embody your fav types of books.

Pagebound is an indie, women owned and developed project. ♥️ Which we LOVE! Hooray for Amazon alternatives!

If you love the project and want to support it, there is Pagebound Royalty you can join and gives some perks. ♥️

You can choose what format you're reading a book in, which allows you to change how to track it. (pages read, time listened) and check off if you own it.

The Discover tab features books that feature today's emoji (each book has three corresponding emojis), giveaways, plus most discussed, finished and TBR'd yesterday. Great way to find new reads!

The main page shows your current reads and reading streak, plus community, following, and My Books social feeds. With filters of course!

One of the most important features, which is new, STATS!!! Long screenshot, but it gives you an idea anyway! 😊

There are quests to earn badges, which that can be displayed on your profile. Here's an example! You can see the people you follow who are also on the quest and scroll through all the quest books.

I also love that there are more options to mark books with, other than just 'Add to TBR'. Helps me keep a bit more organized.
