A word, if you don't mind. Winning a primary is one thing. Winning a general is entirely different. Alienating those you will need in a general to win a primary has never turned out to be a good idea. I see far too much of that lately.

We live in the dumbest of times. Someone just told me they don't understand how a transport could be 40% above quote. They quoted 4 trucks and needed 7. I looked at the quote. Done with AI. Space use on trucks fully maximized. AI played Tetris. Problem is that there's no way to load. We'll done.

I'm not categorically against AI. I am categorically against hyper scaling this shit by building data centers en masse so one of the 5 richest assholes in the race can be first to built the model that eventually kills us all.

Look, I'm not a socialist. Never was and likely never will be. I'm a moderate. I believe in lasting progress through incremental change. However, I understand that you can't incrementally fight fascism. So, I will vote for whoever is the alternative to the right this fall. We all should. Full stop.

Beating Trump and the GOP will be a most important first step. However, if we want to move this country back on a path to fulfilling her promise, we must take down the entire oligarch system without exception, billionaires and mega corporations alike.

It will never fail to amaze me that all it would take to change the entire country for the better is about 1 week. If everyone, every single one of us, stops going to work for a full week, the powerful will come begging on their knees. Alas, we think too much as individualists to use that power.

Food companies wanted deregulation. Now there are dozens of recalls across the country. Mining companies wanted deregulation. Now the black lung rate is at a 45-year high. Financial companies wanted deregulation. Now financial losses to fraud are the highest on record. Noticing a pattern?

We have become such a horrible country. This can't be fixed by new policy. Tax rates can be fixed by new policy. What we need is a complete reset. What we had before enabled what we have now. What we have now must not continue.

Another 15 minutes to home. This traveling for work stuff is all nice and dandy, but I could totally do without the "5:00am to 10:00pm travel day and then up again at 5 to dig out of all the stuff that didn't get done" crap. Maybe I'm just getting too old for this shit.

Once we elect democrats up and down the ballot we must not forget to remind them that going back to what we had is not enough. What we had is what got us here. We need to build something much better.

When all is said and done, most AI companies will have crashed, the tech sector overall will contract significantly and a lot of AI stuff will disappear. The tech will survive, but will be used sparingly where it makes sense because of high cost. The hyperscale mode will implode. 12 to 24 months.

Investors will lose a load of money. Widely used consumer AI will likely become a distant memory. I'm no expert. I do know that none of the AI companies has a viable path to profitability. Trillions in investment on only billions in return can't work. The tech won't get cheaper to run.

Shameful. Absolutely shameful. We are failing as a country.

Democracy is more than elections. It is the right to disagree without fear, protest without retaliation, report the truth without intimidation, and demand answers from those in power. When those protections disappear one by one, authoritarianism has already begun to grow.

I'm a moderate Democrat. I hate Trump and the GOP just as much as you do. I support many progressive initiatives. I would vote for a DSA candidate over a Republican any day of the week. I want money out of politics and billionaires to disappear. I just know that lasting progress is incremental.
