Special shoutout to all the new followers. I appreciate you! I am a big sports fan but I am open to any content BlueSky has to offer. This place is quickly turning into ‘the place to be’ for social media vibes and I’m here for it!

Every Blue Jays fan tonight

Unfortunately, event creation is a huge part of pro sports these days. So on the surface, MLB’s proposal to let the #1 and #3 seeds pick their first-round opponents might seem pointless. But it does manufacture storylines, create extra buzz, and give the postseason another hook for casual fans.

Watching the Braves on Truth and Reconciliation day just isn’t sitting right with me…

I do think what Vladdy said was a bad quote. I understand why people are upset. But I’m not ready to interpret it as evidence that Vladdy doesn’t care or has checked out. Let’s see what he says today and re-evaluate. The firestorm is a bit much in my opinion.

To me Vladdy sounds less like a player who doesn’t care and more like a player trying to separate his self worth from the pressure of a $500M contract. That might actually be a useful mindset for him going forward. He doesn’t need to prove he’s worth $500M every single night. He needs to be Vladdy.

The best Ed Sheeran joke I’ve heard so far: “I bet even Nick Cannon would pull out of Ed Sheerhan's tour at this point.”

If I told you back in April that Mickey Gasper of the Boston Red Sox would be the most dangerous hitter in baseball by September, you probably would’ve laughed your head off. And yet… here we are. It’s September 4, 2026, and Mickey Gasper is the most dangerous hitter in the league.

Jordan Walker’s 55 career HRs off 55 different pitchers is insane. Is he collecting pitchers like Pokémon or something? Gotta hit’em all.

Apparently you can be a professional baseball player, randomly get into a Twitter beef with a fan, rate her looks, delete the tweet afterward, and Yankees fans will be like: 🎶 There goes my hero… 🎶 But Jazz is the problem… 🤔

Optimus Prime was one of my favourite characters growing up, and looking back, I realize just how much those ideals stayed with me. Courage. Compassion. Loyalty. Integrity. Hope. Peter Cullen gave those ideals a voice. May he R.I.P

911, WHAT’S YOUR EMERGENCY? “I’d like to report a shooting at the baseball game.” “Who was shot?” “Two Padres.” “Any suspects?” “Yeah. Carson Benge. Right field. He’s got a baseball and apparently NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE.” “He just gunned down TWO PADRES AT HOME PLATE IN THE FIRST INNING!”

Josh Baez has THREE home runs in his first MLB game. Not three hits. THREE HOME RUNS! The Cardinals may have accidentally summoned a cheat code. Absolutely ridiculous

I’m making the t-shirt “I Stan Jefry Yan”

Pete Crow-Armstrong is somehow the most electric player in baseball right now while simultaneously believing Babe Ruth didn’t actually exist… The Cubs may want to keep podcast microphones at least 500 feet away from PCA. You don’t mess with a season this magical.

MLB discourse has somehow turned into: “Who’s more hated: the Yankees during the Core 4 era or the Dodgers today?” It’s like arguing whether a shark or a grizzly bear would win. Completely different eras. Completely different reasons. Yet everyone is yelling like there’s a correct answer.

Kevin Gausman gets traded to the Cubs… and because baseball refuses to stop writing weird scripts, there’s now a chance his very first start for Chicago comes against the Blue Jays thanks to a rain postponed game.

If MLB owners were truly concerned about competitive balance, we’d hear far more about requiring revenue sharing and luxury tax cash to be reinvested in baseball operations. Instead, the focus is on a salary cap because what owners really want is cost certainty.

The Dodgers landing Tarik Skubal for their 4th best outfield prospect is like buying a Ferrari with the loose change you found in your couch cushions.

I was so excited when I first saw the name “Jesus Made.” I thought baseball had accidentally generated the most legendary superstar name of all time. Then I found out it’s pronounced “Hay-soos Mah-day.” Still an awesome name… but “Jesus Made” sounds destined to hit 700 home runs and walk on water

Cody Clemens’ ultimate grand slam yesterday was incredible. Unfortunately, it also means the rally cap believers are going to spend the next decade saying, “See? It worked!”

Five years ago today… Mets acquired two-time All-Star infielder Javier Báez, RHP Trevor Williams and cash considerations from Chicago (NL) in exchange for minor league outfielder Pete Crow-Armstrong. Five years later, this trade has aged like milk left on the Citi Field concourse in July. 😬

I am officially starting a campaign to replace “triple homer” with home run hat trick. It sounds cooler. It’s more fun. It makes the accomplishment feel legendary. “Triple homer” sounds like something generated by a spreadsheet. It’s like calling a no-hitter a “zero-hit pitching event.” Not fun

Ever since I posted this the Red Sox have been red hot 🔥 and yesterday got their first 3+ run comeback win… You’re welcome Red Sox fans.

After seeing Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla doing MMA sparring, I think it’s only fair we get Joe Mazzulla vs. Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour in an actual MMA fight. Book it.

Can someone check on the FIFA broadcast director? Goal scored: kid crying. Penalty missed: different kid crying. Team eliminated: zoom in even closer on the crying child. Maybe… just maybe… we don’t need a full emotional damage montage in super slow motion every match.

Despite the Netflix broadcast’s weirdo camera angles and overall production that Home Run Derby was awesome! They need to keep the format and fire the director of the broadcast.

MLB offseason: “Veteran reliever signs a 1-year deal.” “Utility infielder avoids arbitration.” NBA offseason: * many blockbuster trades * A star player under investigation * Former teammates are now allegedly throwing punches at a practice facility The NBA offseason is pure cinema.

We are all Belgium tonight

This World Cup proved that greatness isn’t measured by the size of your country or your budget. It’s measured by your courage to dream, your willingness to fight, and the heart you leave on the pitch Capo Verde lost this match but history will remember that the world fell in love with Capo Verde 🇨🇻

I swear the World Cup TV feed is 40% of every match is actual soccer and the other 60% is cinematic fan reactions. We’ve seen the guy with face paint, the nervous kid, the grandmother praying, the shirtless dude, and someone holding a scarf… in ultra slow motion… from three different camera angles.

Dansby Swanson hits 9th for the Cubs and is batting 203 with a 691 OPS this season… Today: 3 homers one being a grand slam 8 RBIs What the hell is going on in Chicago this season???..

I’ll admit it… I was highly critical when John Chayka was hired. But after seeing the work the Maple Leafs’ front office has already put in, I’ve completely changed my tune. Let Chayka cook!

Seven years ago, the King of the North rode into the sunset Today, he returns to Toronto. The realm is healed, the Raptors are roaring, and the load management maesters are already preparing the royal schedule for his grand return to sit on the iron throne once again. #WeTheNorth

The most toxic thing about the WNBA isn’t the basketball… it’s the online discourse. The product on the court has never been more entertaining. Too many people spend more time arguing about narratives than actually enjoying the games.

The Blue Jays need to trade for Mike Vasil not for his pitching, but for his magic powers. The man just waved a wand and the White Sox scored 10 runs in an inning.

The biggest heist in Grand Theft Auto 6 isn’t in the game… it’s convincing people to pay for a plastic box containing a download code.

The Florida Panthers have acquired Brady Tkachuk for 3 first round picks… My initial reaction is the most hated team in Canada just got 10x more hated…

You know how teams that pull off several dramatic comebacks are called the “Cardiac Kids”? The Red Sox are now 0-31 when trailing by 3+ runs. So what do we call them? The No Comeback Kids??

Pete Crow-Armstrong completing the cycle might get the haters off his back. I don’t think you can call someone “overrated” after they hit for the cycle.

The fact that Ron MacLean’s joke made it all the way to air says more about hockey culture than anything else. People often wonder why the NHL trails other major leagues in popularity. I think the culture surrounding the sport is holding it back. It’s time to clean house and start from scratch.

Yordan Alvarez hit 2 homers and drove in 6 runs in the FIRST inning. Jacob Misiorowski threw 104.5 mph, the fastest pitch in MLB history. Kazuma Okamoto hit a ball into the Rogers Centre 500 level. We are hitting Maximum Chaos tonight and it’s glorious.

A walk-off homer and a walk-off grand slam just happened almost at the exact same time. In a normal MLB season, we’d be talking about this for a week. In 2026, it’s just another Wednesday in baseball’s ongoing fever dream.

You know you are Blue Jays fan when you look at this pitchers innings stat spilts and know exactly who it is…

If you told me in March that Brandon Valenzuela would lead all Blue Jays hitters in WAR on June 10, I’d have assumed the season had gone completely off the rails. The fact they’re in a Wild Card spot makes me believe this season isn’t as cursed as I originally thought.

The Brewers and A’s played a baseball game in Las Vegas last night. 29 runs. 34 hits. 11 home runs. 14 pitchers. 444 pitches. 12 innings. 8 runs in the 10th inning. absolute chaos and absolute cinema
