Congrats to the Disembodied team on the Quest launch, it's so cool seeing a new game land on the store. Nice write-up too, good luck with it 😊

Completed my first run of Silent Hill: Townfall. Not a great one, but for being on a controller it wasn't too bad either www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGtT...

Going live as part of the charity marathon in just over an hour! www.twitch.tv/polymedianet...

We were kindly sent a GB Operator by Epilogue, so let's take a quick look at what is included! We'll be testing it out during the @polymedianetwork.bsky.social charity stream this weekend, with a review to follow over at The Elite Institute. www.youtube.com/shorts/BjOLf...

"Gears of War E-Day is an incredible return to form for the series, and shows that The Coalition have what it takes to keep this franchise going. If you’re new to the series or a long-time fan, then this game is not one you’ll want to miss." theeliteinstitute.net/2026/10/06/g...

As we work through the Virtual Boy NSO games, we reach one of the better titles for the platform: Jack Bros. Not a huge barrier, for sure, but it's still pretty solid. theeliteinstitute.net/2026/10/01/j...

Don’t forget to check out the quiz we did! So fun!

We're really excited to finally publish our review for Silent Hill Townfall. Screen Burn and @annapurna.com have done an excellent job at creating something completely unique for the franchise, yet also still feels like Silent Hill too. Read our thoughts here: theeliteinstitute.net/2026/09/29/s...

With the Evercade double pack release just a month away, I put together a Banjo-Kazooie themed quiz designed to both test and infuriate my friends @miketendo64.com @gawny7789.bsky.social @rapidreviewsuk.bsky.social @impactgamestation.bsky.social! www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhLs...

"If you have stronger hardware then there’s a lot to love about Fear the Timeloop. In an era where Survival Horror games are becoming fashionable, it’s great to play something that genuinely stands out from the rest of the crowd." theeliteinstitute.net/2026/09/16/f...

Whoops, I forgot to upload this last week. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FB5s...

1666 Amsterdam dropped in Early Access recently, so we decided to jump in and give it a try. And we ended up VERY impressed by what we played ... albeit with some caveats. @panachedgames.bsky.social theeliteinstitute.net/2026/09/08/1...

We played Bootstrap Island using SteamVR on the Steam Machine to put it through its paces. It may have some technical issues, but if you like survival games then this may be one worth checking out! theeliteinstitute.net/2026/09/03/b...

The Sinking City 2 tries to imitate Resident Evil so much that it loses itself in the process. Genre fans that aren’t familiar (or didn’t like) the original will likely still find enjoyment-but will they remember the game in a year’s time? I’m not so sure. theeliteinstitute.net/2026/09/01/t...

If anyone is playing the PCVR / PSVR2 version of Hitman World of Assassination and is struggling with the new challenge, I made a guide to help with it! www.youtube.com/shorts/f0QGF...

"We’ve been waiting a long time for an indie game that truly captures the essence of Rare’s N64 shooters, and Agent 64 pretty much hits all of those beats perfectly across both its single-player and multiplayer offerings" @agent64game.bsky.social theeliteinstitute.net/2026/08/11/a...

I finally get to play Hitman Freelancer in VR... but it's way harder than I expected! www.youtube.com/watch?v=98Eg...

In all my time with Resident Evil 4 VR on the Meta Quest 3, this is probably the biggest jump-scare that I've had. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzty...

Played Silent Hill Play Novel for the first time, and then beat it twice more to get a good time. 6th place isn't too bad out of 17. I am never playing this game again though. Not bad, but there's no real game to it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEnu...
