Sucker Punch is laying off 26 employees:
"After carefully observing the challenges in the market and reviewing the team needs for our next project, we've decided to make some staffing reductions. Several positions across Sucker Punch will be eliminated as a result."

Better late than never, here is my review of Well Dweller! A wonderfully designed metroidvania, I wholeheartedly recommend this one for newcomers and veterans alike.
After Zero Company I’ve really got the itch to explore more turn-based tactical games!
Not sure exactly when with all the great games dropping in the next six months.
But when I do… any suggestions?
Just beat Zero Company.
Performance wasn’t the best.
Final encounter was a bit underwhelming.
EVERYTHING else blew me away! The memorable cast of rogues. The deep, challenging, no less accessible TBT combat system. The explosive plot that lives in the margins of the universe’s wider conflicts.
REALLY didn’t get all the Mass Effect comparisons Zero Company got at first.
But I think I see it now.
There’s not nearly as much choice or exploration. But the way the crew is built up thru their loyalty missions, the way the scope and stakes of the story just explode down the stretch? I see it.

Look, I am angry. I know I'm not the only one. The amount of AI slop we see trying to find worthwhile games on Steam is overwhelming. So, to not be consumed by rage, instead I made this list of the most shameless excuses devs have written as AI content disclosures.
Enjoy.
So, you finally post and it’s bullshit?
He saved Tsushima from the Mongols is what he did! He was a emotionally rich and well-performed stoic character! And in this house, Jin Sakai is a hero! END OF STORY!
Jin Sakai is a great character for those who feel a moral dilemma every time they jaywalk or go 5 over the speed limit.
I'm definitely much more of a Miyamoto Musashi guy.
I usually think Capcom games are kinda mid when it comes to characters but Onimusha is looking like a clear exception.
After the Silencers were cast out and music returned to the people, you step into the halls of the Etchery School of Magic and Melody 🪈🎶 Come and listen as I spin you a song of my experience after 10 mins, 1 hour, 10 hrs, and 1 year (in-game) to answer the question: Is Songs of Glimmerwick for you?
I’ll be releasing my reviews for Well Dweller and Gears of War: E-Day this week so this is a bit of a spoiler on my feelings, but as of today these are my top 4 favorite games of 2026:
1. Well Dweller
2. 007 First Light
3. Gears of War: E-Day
4. Moss: The Forgotten Relic
This past month I have become the thing I hate most, a filthy game juggler.
-Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
-FE: Three Houses
-Pokemon Scarlet
-Kirby Air Riders (going for 100% checklist)
-Orbitals (this is one is Westen’s fault)
-Star Wars Galactic Racer
And I’ve been playing to much Battlefield 6 🙈
2 Hours Deep. Working on Boss #2…
Hate to admit: I agree w/ Westen.
Game is GREAT!
Especially the platforming!
But there IS this stiff, awkward little delay with the controls — particularly in combat. And you adjust, but it’s unexpected given how fluid everything felt in The Rogue.
Castlevania: Belmonts Curse is great early on.
But man, it really shows me how insanely responsive and crisp the combat was in Well Dweller. There's a very noticeable difference in combat and platforming quality between those games.
Like… Hey, I also like shitting on a game from time to time. 🤷🏻♂️ Sue me. 🤷🏻♂️
But this happens EVERY week now. And with some games it makes OBJECTIVELY no sense.
They have flaws, sure!
But the worst ever? By what metric?
Also… I thought last week’s new game was the worst game you’d ever seen?
