This interlull has gone on long enough. I’m ready for real football to return – and there’s plenty to look forward to, from Gyökeres getting his Arsenal season properly started to Liverpool welcoming Manchester City to Anfield. theoddfather.co.uk/come-on-give...

Napoli 0-1 Arsenal. What made me smile: Odegaard continues fantastic form. What pissed me off: Our shooting was bad. What surprised me: That miss by De Bruyne at the end. What worries me: Eze and Gyokeres not doing enough to force their way in. What am I thinking now: Recover well for Sunderland

I’m liking the rotation in our line up. The right amount without losing too much balance of previous line ups. Hopefully we can get a healthy lead to give Saka, Rice and Odegaard a rest later in the game.

My honest opinion: we should have kept onto Martinelli if we couldn’t find an upgrade. Our best chance to win the league is our defence and general stability compared to other teams, but I don’t think we have enough to win the champions league this season. Sorry for for the negativity.

Arsenal are Community Shield champions again! And while some will insist it’s only a glorified friendly, I’m choosing to celebrate it – especially when beating Manchester City 3-0 means we get to call ourselves champions again. Read more: theoddfather.co.uk/arsenal-3-0-...

Pains me to call it - but we have the second finalist for the World CupMania… and it’s Messi: the only thing I like about an otherwise shitty team of dickheads. Goodnight England - thanks for exhausting the Arsenal players only to fuck up the tactics at the most important stage
