One of the ostensible reasons for starting the war on Iran was to prevent them from ever having a nuclear weapon. I’m being suffocated by the irony.

Iran has no incentive to end the war. Their aim is to inflict maximum damage on US/Israel so this never happens again. Maximum cost is $150-200 per barrel of oil. The only way of stopping that is giving into Iran’s demands or putting ‘boots on the ground’. My view is a land war is highly likely.

I liked the peace dividend. Can we have it back please? Less money spent on defence, greater prosperity and an ability to tackle global issues with proper vigour. In the crazy world we are in, what is our road back to peace and prosperity? #restispolitics #NATO #UN #peace
