Logging into LinkedIn after a long time is like accidentally clicking like on an ex's Insta post. Suddenly it's: "Are you interested in reconnecting?" "Hey, did you see this cool post?" "What's up, just saw this job and thought of you!" "Interested in rising and grinding?"

If I'm ever in need of some quick money it's nice to know I could always just scam Raskin, who is clearly an absolute fucking rube.

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

Raskin: We are a big tent. We must be a huge, vast tent. I say this is a party that’s got room for Marjorie Taylor Greene if she wants to come over.

People think living in Florida is a political hellscape, because it is. But one nice thing is that if you ever need your street repaired, you can just paint it rainbow colors and the state immediately sends out a team to replace the street because it's gone gay.

What often gets left unmentioned in the "the left needs a Joe Rogan" bullshit is that conservatives fucking hate men. They do everything possible to make men feel miserable and attacked and isolated, all to serve their political purposes. They desperately want men to have no friends or loved ones.

Please fund my new company: an AI that generates 6 pictures of people who are not you that you can then use on your dating profile, ensuring that every date starts off with confusion and disappointment. It's called match.nope.

If only it was for insider trading, I'd actually be fine with this! But since it's not a crime when elected officials do it, that won't be the charge.

THE ODDS OF NANCY PELOSI BEING CRIMINALLY CHARGED THIS YEAR ARE SOARING: POLYMARKET

I am willing to accept even smaller ball of just $23 million from taxpayers if anyone would like to just give that to me.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Fetterman describes Trump trying to steal $230 million from taxpayers as "small ball, and I think we have much bigger problems than worrying about those things."

My mom doesn't want an EV because "won't you miss the sound the engine makes?" (No? Why?) I told her she can just turn the stereo down and make VROOOM noises with her mouth to recreate the engine experience.

My new app, Endless Dystopia, uses AI to create photorealistic pictures of you without various diseases- no expensive medical care necessary. Got a debilitating, chronic, or even terminal disease? Not in these AI-generated pictures, you don't!

If you think our auto insurance is high, wait until you see our homeowner's insurance.

David Brauer@dbrauer.net

Auto insurance in Florida is more than double Minnesota - averaging $2,912 a year vs $1,310. Maybe not a huge surprise but the high cost of low-tax states …

Hell yeah. Spo rules and absolutely deserves this. (Also I hope he uses the opportunity to recruit stars that want to come play for him.)

This is honestly a great idea, because the next time the fucking asparagus steps to me, I'm going to shoot it.

Supermarket chain Publix announced it will now allow customers to openly carry firearms inside its Florida stores. www.cbsnews.com/miami/news/p...

I'm just happy to see the respect for Spoelstra, even as the Heat continue to get rolled in the playoffs. He's a great coach, but he needs more to work with. Any chance Giannis really likes Miami weather?

Howard Beck@howardbeck.bsky.social

Some highlights from the GM survey: 80% say OKC will repeat as champs 67% say Jokic will win MVP 83% pick Wembanyama to start a franchise 97% say Flagg will win ROY 52% say Spoelstra is the best coach

This is a great time to remind people that @propublica.org does excellent journalism and operates on donations. You know, just in case you've recently freed up some money that you used to be donating to another organization.

As President Trump ramps up efforts to send federal officers and troops into cities, criminologists are watching closely. Are the feds doing this in a smart way?

That was a decent start to the #Survivor season, but I am disappointed by how many people seem to be putting on personas. Sage, however, is a real one. I'm a fan. I'm also convinced she's going home within the next 2-3 votes, which is too bad.

I unironically love dorks like this. It's like the park ranger dorks that tell you about the coolest trails and sights in a park - they just love their niche interest and are super excited to share it with you.

They saw what Chavez and Maduro did in Venezuela and were like "How can we get in on some of that action?"

BARTIROMO: The idea of government owning portions of public companies -- this is something that free-market have to get their heads around. BESSENT: Maria, there are decisions that the US government makes that we believe are good for society
