I've been crazy busy lately. Here is a video of my show "Animal Farm" that opened last week at Wilmington College, in Ohio. Show is up thru December 11th. Located inside the Boyd Cultural Arts Bldg. on campus. #art

Art talk #art My first talk about the new work. A fun night.

Opening Reception Friday. #art #fridaynight #painting

Decided to take the day and make soup. It’s 91° outside and I am making soup. Bread too. I remember when the cooler air would start filtering in after Labor Day. This feels like late July. Not getting a real break until next Monday. No climate change here.

Please can you help us reach our £10,000 goal this weekend, for big hay deliveries & vets bills at our animal sanctuary? Thank you so much for your support so far! Every donation makes a BIG difference: gofund.me/59c9fd41c Please SHARE to help us find support 💚 #rescueanimals #animalsanctuary

Feeling the weight of this day. Remembering where I was. How I felt. I am working today. Trying to fill my space with space. ETHER: two finished paintings. #art #painting

Getting closer: Wired all of the pieces for this show today. There will be an artist talk, and although I’ve given many talks, this will be the first for the series Ethos. I never write it down, but let it roll around in my head until it’s time to speak. So far so good. #art #painting

Food politics. Being more self sufficient. We took steps this year to get back to old habits. Growing most of our own food. I rarely if ever have processed food. Everything is made from scratch, minus an occasional cracker, box of plant milk, or slice of vegan pizza. #vegan #plantbased #slowfood

A day in the life. Work, garden, bread.

The brightest lights are the most difficult ones to lose. Shine on you marvelous, magical queen.

Took the whole weekend off. Already stretched most of the paintings for my Sept show, so not feeling so stressed.

Started stretching the paintings today. ETHOS: MONARCH Mixed media 36x36. #art #painting

Love when people repost my words as their own. It’s like teaching a bird to fly.

Aside from a studio run today, I made pickled veg. Garden squash medley and garlic and basil cherry tomatoes. This will be my salad sides for the week along with a loaf of fresh crusty bread, avocado, a batch of hummus and potato salad. Summer eats.

It is pouring rain here at the studio, there’s a big ugly cybertruck front and center in the parking lot and I am painting about peaceful revolution, abundance and awakening. More from the new ETHOS SERIES. #art #painting

New work: ETHOS: 60x54 unstretched. A back to the future project that has me revisiting an earlier vibe. #art #painting

Bought my veg at the farm market over the weekend. So far so good. Until my next crop of greens come in all purchases will be from small local growers. Also upping my kitchen sprout growing operation. Photo. Our greenhouse being built onto the back of my old studio. Not messing around. #veggies

CHANNELING HAPPINESS. Finished. 40x60 unstretched. Mixed media, collage. The last piece on the wall. Starting new things. #art #painting

I must be the only person on the planet who didn’t talk to Mitch for twenty minutes yesterday.

PASS IT ON: nailed this back to the wall today and finished it. #art #painting

Happy Independence Day. One nation one people. Let’s do that… Let’s be we the people. For realz…

Elegy For Everything. Another finished painting. 30x42. Mixed media, collage. #art #painting

I have not been to work since last Thursday. Possibly the longest stretch away from my studio in years. Finally hit my mark and now I know where this crazy train is going. Having a no pressure moment inside a pressure cooker. Priceless.

When The World Is Perfect. New canvases in the works. Two shows coming up in the fall, just now wrapping my head around some of the small pieces. This one 40x30 unstretched. #art #painting

Be the change. ☮️ ❤️

This is Bryan. Once a week, he takes a shelter pup on a New York City adventure in his ‘Adopt Me’ backpack, hoping someone will fall in love. He films their big day out, and almost every dog he’s featured has found a forever home. [📹 madmax_fluffyroad] Original post

There is no greater propaganda machine than the US food industry. Health organizations funded by the very industries that cause the diseases that these same organizations claim to be combating. This all under the umbrella of the USDA and government agencies. Rewatched this gem today. Worth a look.

Good morning earth. So far so good. The suns up, the sky is clear and I feel great. Pass it on…

Amazing..

Attended an opening reception last night. A nice surprise, two of my graffiti paintings are hanging in the downstairs lobby. Beacon Free and Sleepwalker. #art #abstractart

Having future shows in my periphery I have been working out a few somewhat cohesive thought lines. Finished this yesterday. COGNITO. Mixed media collage. 44x72. Not usually a fan of the horizontal. But it is what it is. #art #painting

With a little help from you and me, Ukrainians can protect themselves from Russian missiles and drones. Please join in if you can. u24.gov.ua/news/timothy...

These canvases have been stapled to the wall for a few days. Small studies. Oil, ink and graphite on canvas. CITADEL. The human type. We are our own last refuge, or own stronghold. Human citadels. Autonomous and legion all at the same time. We just need to own it. #art #painting

Look, I get wanting to protect your trademark. But, this kind of legal bullying is BS. Y'all know what to do. Here is the website for the Friends for Animals of Metro Detroit: www.metrodetroitanimals.org. Show them some love. 🩷

Once the paint comes out it’s hard to capture the texture with a picture. These are some small pieces with the first pass of texture, collaged fabric and paper. Before the sander comes out. A good two days to dry completely. #art #painting

Happy Mother’s Day to Renée Good. Today, we honor her memory, her courage, & the ultimate sacrifice she made. She should be here with her babies today, but her legacy lives on in the people she loved, the lives she touched, & the continued fight for a more compassionate & just world. 💐

Finally got my groove back. New work in the house. Firefly. VERITAS LOQUITUR, new series. The truth speaks for itself. 44x32. Small paintings like this are on stretched canvas with a textured ground. #art #painting

My boys would love this.

I was skeptical about a prequel to Mystery Road. The original show and the films with Aaron Pedersen were good. I can now say that the first season of MR Origin was as good as the first season of Mystery Road.

It’s #caturday and here’s a snapshot of Ruben with his arm around his sister Lil’ P. This is a rare, likely one time only event that needed documentation. Lil’P does not like to share her space.

I’ve been going through my inventory of finished works. Today I repainted this entire canvas. Using none of the under painting, which is rare for me. Oil on canvas 54x54 #art #painting

Dropped this off at the gallery two weeks ago and they sold it on Monday. Breakers. 36x44 oil on canvas. #art #painting

Another panting in the loosely titled Tether Series. As yet unstretched. The work continues. #art #painting

Laundry as art [📸 Helga Stentzel]

No kings! Be safe out there.

Finally got back to This series I started last month. Small pieces so far, studies. But going big today. #art #painting abstraction, figurative.

Kindness costs nothing 🐸

Working on a few quickies. Impromptu oil on panel 12x12 each. A fun way to get out of my head and use up some of the boards I have stored away. #art #painting

When my paint wall in the studio was new. Early days. 2019. #art
