Millions of elderly whites being so detached from, in most cases, their own lived experience parenting 20-30 yrs ago to think this is true or even possible is a major bug in our system; if you’re the child of those parents w school-aged kids today & believe this, I have no idea what to even say

Ashley Hinson claims Josh Turek supports "allowing kids to change their gender at school and not tell their parents"

I have no issue with the NYC tax on 2nd residences, but (a) I don’t think this is really true, to the extent it can be considered, and (b) if you cannot see that these two concepts couldn’t be more disconnected, you need to put down your phone, go outside and get some fresh air.

People potentially subject to the nyc pied-à-terre tax are being treated with 1% of the administrative hostility of SNAP and Medicaid applicants, and they’re throwing 100x the fit

Impressive, no doubt. But riddle me this: how many times did Salvy foul himself on an escalator at the bellagio after crab legs at Kokomo’s? Bc unless it’s 2 gtfo with this “record-setting” junk

Never been a Zlatan fan, though obviously I’d always acknowledge he’s an entertaining character to many. But his palpable contempt for Alexi Lalas is making me come around on him. How much Zlatan visibly hates the guy is the best part of the World Cup so far (other than the names on Haiti’s roster)

Switzerland is considering establishing a population cap and then using that to set immigrations quotas. At least arguably, this makes sense for them. If this concept makes its way to immigration restrictionists here, just remember that Switzerland has 590 inhabitants per sq mile and we have 97.

Ted Turner passing is sad, but he had a good run. Unlike most people of immense wealth, he thought about more than himself and was committed to environmental causes for decades. He wasn’t a saint, but now is not the time for that. We all would be better off if more billionaires were like him.

Unbelievably embarrassing for Raleigh, a 30 year old man, to be this unable to distinguish his actual job from a novelty sideshow. An uneducated clown devoid of character or even basic manners. At least ownership got their money’s worth for the life of his contract last year. What a jerk off

Yesterday, February 28th, the US attacked Iran. Bret Stephens wrote his NYT column praising the attack bc “at least Hezbollah’s stayed out of it so far.” A few hours in at that point. Today, his column was published and Hezbollah is launching attacks. 1 day later!! What a clown Stephens is.

I don’t get the Anthony Kim d-s’ing the past week in the golf media. The guy works for terrorists and almost certainly perpetrated a massive insurance fraud then waited out being able to get in trouble for it. Him winning a 4th tier event only becomes a cool story if you ignore reality altogether

The win largely supports the insurance fraud occurring, I think. Someone with a truly debilitating injury isn’t taking a decade - outside his athletic prime, mind you - off from any competition and winning again, let alone after a little over a season back. That’s not something that happens in 2026

It blows as a fan, don’t get me wrong. The team on the field for this year is now worse than it was 48 hours ago. But this becomes arguably the top minor league system and they need lottery tickets unless the plan to run into the brick wall that is the dodgers every October from here to eternity

You can have two goals at once and work towards them both. Yes, being miserly over $8 million (and quitting on Tobias Myers) feels annoying and short-sighted. But if the goals are short-term savings and long-term improving WS chances, this is a step towards both.

Flyers featuring the Four Horsemen logo from ‘NOW YOU SEE ME’ have popped up all over NYC. Rumored to be Jesse Eisenberg performing a magic trick this Saturday at Tompkins Square Park.

This is like when scientists find an animal in the wild they thought was extinct for years but isn’t, except for my related fears of heights and cable car accidents

The New York Times@nytimes.com

At least four people were killed after a cable car fell, rolled down a mountainside and broke apart on Monte Faito, south of Naples, Italian officials said. A fifth person was in critical condition and nine others were trapped in a different cable car because of the crash and had to be rescued.

Still doing the deed at 74? Good for her. Get her a house with three similarly saucy birds of a feather around her age and I guarantee you hilarity will ensue

The world’s oldest known wild bird, a 74-year-old Laysan albatross named Wisdom, is expected to welcome another baby chick in the coming months, astonishing scientists who have been tracking her since the Eisenhower administration. nyti.ms/4f7VadN
