I left Blue Sky a few months ago, and while Threads has become more like old Twitter for breaking news and such, it’s also come borderline insufferable like new Twitter with all the ignorant MAGAts and bots. May need to chuck it soon and move back.

VERY pleased with the winner of Top Chef. Also VERY pleased I don’t have to be assaulted with Housewives commercials and Andy Cohen again until next season of Top Chef. It’s too good for Bravo!

Instead of continuing with my new file, I decided to dive back into my 2023 save to figure out where the heck I left off. But hey, I found Link’s fish husband again! The Switch 2 graphic bump is great. Look at that water!

Welp, after one attempt to sell my extra Switch 2 to a friend (at cost), I just returned it to Walmart. Sorry, folks, Nintendo only sold 3,499,999 units. It’s totally the Wii U now.

I was just playing this last night on the Switch 2. Looking forward to the update. This also gives me hope for a Pikmin 4 standalone update/patch, too. I still need to test out if the load times are better (I am assuming they are).

Anyone who can play Mario Kart World and not be blown away by the course design is just a jaded dork. This is the most fun I have had with single player MK maybe ever! #Switch2

I played around in the Great Sky Island area of Tears of the Kingdom Switch 2 Edition, and I am shocked at how great the graphical boost is, especially in the water! It’s so good!

Welp, my last minute pre-order cancellation at Walmart didn’t go through. So, now I have TWO Switch 2s. Looks like I am becoming a scalper! 😂 I’m going to see if anyone I know in Chicago wants it at cost, and then I will either figure it out or return it.

I’m just going to start blocking people complaining about game prices, especially when they say in the same breath they’re just going to emulate (aka steal the games) anyway. Idiots. Time to clean up the feed.

I guess I missed the factoid that Switch 1 Pro Controllers will not wake up the Switch 2. Will sheer laziness move me to get a new one? Stay tuned!

Okay, I couldn't resist. I just played some Welcome Tour. I know people are grumbling, but this didn't need to be free or a pack-in. It's for nerds only. It's well done, though. Also, there ARE updates to JoyCon & Pro Controller. I didn't get the Pro 2. So, update those, too! #Switch2

It's been about 2.5 hours since I started the transfer, and nearly all the games are on my Switch 2. It is well over 300 GB, filling up my 256GB SD Card and some of the system memory. I'd say Nintendo's servers met the challenge of this hardware launch! Now to resist playing until after work.

Anyone worried about system transfers need not. It took about 15min, and it was all well thought out and intuitive. It was very Apple-like, tbh. Nintendo did the thing! The downloading games to the system is a bit of a drudge, but I have to work today anyway (to pay for this thing). #Switch2

I decided to stop into Target by my house. This is the line for pickups! I snagged one of the last bundles, and I canceled my Walmart preorder. Now I don’t have get nervous about delivery! I’m still wondering about all those dorks saying there was no excitement and it was Wii U like? #Switch2

I popped over to Twitter, and the Switch 2 excitement is a lot more palpable there than here. You don’t have people whining and hoping it will be Wii U, and you see a lot more photos of long lines across the nation. I never want to be a Twitter user again, but BlueSky is not it for this launch.

I just my last Switch game that is actually my first Switch 2 game. It’s 60% off on the eShop, and I had $5 worth of gold coins. I’m not firing it up until I get the Switch 2, tho 😋

I just went ahead and updated Breathe of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Super Mario Odyssey, etc. One less thing to do when I get my hands on my Switch 2. BOTW and TOTK definitely took the longest to download. Now if just my preorder would move off of "preparing." 😑

I’m traveling this week, and I threw my Switch in the bag as sort of a valedictory before Switch 2 comes out. I started up Breath of the Wild, and I opened my save file that hasn’t been touched since 2022. When I tell you I will absolutely use the Zelda Siri! I am no longer a good Zelda player 😂

This is my first season of Drag Race/All Stars not being bombarded with the toxic fans on X. It’s refreshing! And it’s also nice not to wake up in the morning and have the episode spoiled because those twerps watch it as soon as it drops and post about it. A silver lining at the end of the world.

I have the case. I have the SD Express Card. Now I just need the Switch 2 in two weeks.

Ordered the new SD Card, and my case arrived a couple days ago. So, now I just need the Switch 2 to arrive in a couple weeks. Let’s go!

I have zero interest in the chat features of Switch 2, but if I ever were to go all in and buy a camera, this is absolutely what I would buy.

Well, after going down to 1 min for at least 10 minutes, then going up to 10 minutes, the Walmart queue finally kicked me into where I could pre-order. So, I have a Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle pre-ordered. HOWEVER, it will arrive by June 6th, not the guaranteed June 5th. So...stay in line!

I missed Superman Day on the 18th. So rewatching Man of Steel. I honestly didn’t have a ton of issues with the Snyderverse, but I get why people do. It has its problems, but one thing Snyder was great at was casting. Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Ma and Pa Kent are amazing, and Henry, of course.

Watching the Mario Kart direct, and sorry folks, this is packed with things only thought of in previous editions. It’s easily an $80 game. Imagine how many hours you’ll play it?

People always point out the winters in Chicago and cringe. I really don’t see the issue. It’s cold. You bundle up. You go about your day. The REAL part about winter in Chicago that sucks is how long it takes for Spring to really take hold. I wish I still didn’t have my heat on.

Do I wish video games were $49.99 again? Sure. But we all demand better graphics, longer games, etc., and there are teams of skilled people making these games that deserve to get paid a commensurate wage for it. I put over 200 hours into TOTK for the Switch. That's .006 cents a minute.
