It's official 🤭 you've been asking for this and we heard you loud and clear... Kobo 🤝 @thestorygraph.com coming your way next month!

In the spirit of making StoryGraph more social, people asked for a default buddy read for each book, no need to organize or join a group yourself Let’s see how that would work! Here’s a buddy read for Project Hail Mary with no limit on how many people can join app.thestorygraph.com/buddy_reads/...

Earlier today we passed 5 million user signups! 🎉 Thank you to everyone who’s tried the product so far and tells their friends to do the same! ❤️ We’re improving StoryGraph every single day, based on all of your wonderful feedback. We have huge plans for 2026. Stay tuned!

A third-party service is having network issues. We've taken the app into maintenance mode in order to migrate away from the problematic server. We hope to be back online as soon as possible.

We just had our biggest day in StoryGraph history! Thanks for joining, we have big plans for 2026!

StoryGraph won the Cultural Impact award from the 2025 Apple AppStore Awards! ✨ They presented the award to Rob the other day while he was in LA for their Developer Showcase. Thank you everyone who has supported us this year. We’ve got big plans for 2026! 💪🏾

We’ve been nominated as a finalist in the 2025 Apple App Store Awards! 🎉 We’re being recognised in the Cultural Impact category for our work in building an inclusive book community. The winners will be announced in the coming weeks.

How to turn StoryGraph's AI on (or off)

"What's your favorite book?"

StoryGraph's AI now runs on 100% sustainable green energy

I’ve launched a YouTube channel! 🎥 It’s where I’m sharing the mix of coding, workouts, dancing, and reading that keeps me balanced and having fun while growing The StoryGraph as a one-woman dev team. Take a look and subscribe here → www.youtube.com/@nodunayo

I just started this audiobook, The Rainbow Ain’t Never Been Enuf by Kaila Adia Story It has such important information in it, it’s really good so far 💕 I went over to StoryGraph to track it, and then read my personalized preview… It was like yeah, you already know you’re going to love this book 😂

I love Storygraph so much. This might be my favorite personalized book preview to date. They do AI right.

Over the last few weeks, StoryGraph has been hit by a large, coordinated DDoS campaign designed to knock our service offline. Nadia and I have been working around the clock to keep StoryGraph up and running. Sorry for the slowdowns and outages lately. We should have a new solution in place soon!

Apps are approaching AI the wrong way.

My NDC talk is live! Check it out if you'd like a behind-the-scenes look at how we grew StoryGraph to 300 million requests a month (1 million database operations per second) with a one man AI/Dev-Ops team. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFQq...

StoryGraph update:

Explore static prototypes of our upcoming new profile page! ✨ Mobile: www.figma.com/proto/bxUVtA... Desktop: www.figma.com/proto/bxUVtA...

StoryGraph has a new barcode scanner! It's an in-house solution that's a lot more accurate, and allows you to scan the front cover. Let us know if it's an improvement for you!

We've upgraded the StoryGraph Preview and Personalized Preview. If you use these features, let us know how this new version compares to the old one! Instead of more general feedback, we are specifically interested in knowing if this is an improvement for you, about the same, or if it got worse.

The StoryGraph founders are going live now on Instagram for a Q&A. Come and ask all your questions: www.instagram.com/the.storygra...

Homepage tweaks coming soon! ✨

Shoutout to @thestorygraph.com for being incredibly cool and allowing me to opt out of the ai by writing my own book preview! A step up from goodreads as I have been unable to claim by book on there and edit it lmao, anyway try Storygraph out!

It’s not too late to join our January Pages Challenge! Over 100k of you have already done so! ✨ Track at least one page (or one minute of an audiobook) every day in January. To find out more, including info on the amazing prizes, there’s a link on your Challenges dashboard!
