Correction: They did not contest that point as it was 𝙉𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙍 𝙄𝙉 𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙏𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝙏𝙊 𝘽𝙀𝙂𝙄𝙉 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃. The case was never about owners' rights to deny carry. It's about the GOVERNMENT codifying that nobody can carry on private property by default. You’re a yellow journalist who makes Alex Jones look like Ed Murrow.
The sweaty white guys who weirdly monitor my BlueSky (please go away) evidently lack the intellectual sophistication to grasp this point. But it's my main beef with these gun cases: The majority keeps lying about what it's doing so it can praise its (false) objectivity. slate.com/news-and-pol...
The headline of your opt-ed claims this ruling was an ”Expansion of the Second Amendment”. Expanded it… how? This law was never in effect to begin with. Owners still have every right to put up a "No Guns Allowed" sign if they don't want guns on their property, just as they always have.
I try not to respond to these X dead-enders because they're losers who seemingly crave my attention. But I do want to be clear here: My criticism of Wolford is that the majority purports to be using history as an objective guide—a claim that Obergefell, and many other liberal decisions, do NOT make!
Stern here unironically claims that the repeal of a law that has never been in effect anywhere is somehow an “expansion of the Second Amendment” and that said supposed expansion is “deranged”. Is he deeply stupid, or just biased to the point of deep intellectual dishonesty?
Today's Second Amendment decision has little to do with law and less to do with history (which Alito ignores or denies as needed to reach his conclusion). It's all about power—the supermajority shoving its preferred gun policy down our throats with brute force. Odious. slate.com/news-and-pol...
And were these statistics better or worse back before 1980; when the Department of Education did not exist?
71% of Americans can't locate the Pacific Ocean on a map. 33% don't believe in evolution. 26% believe the sun revolves around the Earth. 40% don’t know what Auschwitz was. 33% can't name any branch of government. 54% read below a 6th grade level. But by all means, eliminate the Dept of Education.
That's just it, guns are unequivocally NOT the disease. Before 1968 Americans could buy guns, including AR15s, with no ID, no background check, no age check. Folks even bought guns by MAIL ORDER. Yet mass shootings were extremely rare, and gun violence wasn't worse than today.
Not because it is wrong to teach children to protect themselves but at the insanity of the fact that such occurrences are so common that it is a thing. All you folks do is offer prayers and condolences. You don’t do anything about the disease
So after his family has taken in nearly $1.5 MILLION dollars for his defense… Karmelo files as "indigent" with the court to a get a free public defender. All of you who donated got played. sandrarose.com/2025/06/karm...
Well you are correct in the sense that NO amendment "gives" us rights. Our country was founded on the principle that rights do not come from government; but we are born with our rights, they are inalienable. But the 2ndA IS an individual right, if for no reason other than ALL rights are individual.
You are up to date.
