This is hard to say. I don't like to encourage (what I observe to be) professional begging. So I don't give on the street. Today, on the 4th of July, I did. When begging has become the best, perhaps only, option for **so many** people, how can I be proud of my country?

Two things were accomplished. While we were talking about this we weren't talking about ICE and Marines in LA. And by continuing to exceed his authority unchecked he normalizes abuse of power. He has roughly three years to invoke general martial law, suspend elections, and stay out of jail.

He has already unilaterally engaged in an act of war. He has the burden of proof of to show eminent threat. Negotiation was already scheduled so diplomacy was an option. There was no emergency. He exceeded his authority. He can and should be impeached and removed.

As a fan of irony, this may be the best thing I've seen today.

It's kind of weird how arrest is just state sanctioned kidnapping. I get it: commit a felony, the public has to be protected. But "land of the free" ??? In 2025 it feels a little hypocritical.
