Also ngl I've become pretty disillusioned with SocMed as a whole as of late. I'll 100% still make stuff and share out, I just cant pretend like I can keep up with the rat race. Especially when there's really no reward for it. I'd rather focus on internal validation, improving myself and craft.

also hi im still alive, school's kicking my ass a bit, I see why people drop out LOL Comic is still progressing! Laying the groundwork for myself so that when I start posting again, I can finish C1 all the way through without another big hiatus like this.

To say I'm proud of myself would be an understatement! However, I don't intend to enroll for now. I have a lot of room for growth and improvement as an artist, and the past month of undergrad has cemented in me that I do my best work outside the classroom! Also I am NOT taking out any loans LOLL

So for now, I want to focus on putting my best foot forward and taking my comic a bit more seriously to try and deliver the best work I can. C1 script has been revised a bit, and I'm planning to do more pre-viz work on future pages to make actual drawing faster and more thought out.

Longer Blog: I started working on Silver Communion this summer not just to be an ongoing project for myself, but also a core portfolio piece for Grad School. I wasn't sure of myself and my post-grad plans (esp with so many funding cuts 🥲 ), so I only applied to my dream school. And well... :)

Working on my process a bit with some shorthanding practice! Pages have slowed a bit since I have a LOTTT of foundational work to do so my life is easier later on 😵‍💫, like making solid references and tightening up the story for the next couple of chapters. Page 3 next week! (i hope)

I’m also excited to say that my comic project has an actual name now: Silver Communion! It’s a Fantasy/Mystery/Thriller story with Western-Inspired visuals set in a dying town. You can read it completely for free here on Bluesky, but also my ComicsFury site! ⬇️

Roomie moved out yesterday, so I had to sieze rhe opportunity to move into the bigger bedroom. its not completely finished yet, gotta tidy up and cull some stuff for a donor bin run, but i’m loving the extra space!
