There is a universe where Xcode RC releases the same day RC OSes are released. We do not live in that universe, sadly.

Apple: we're making it easier to publish on the App Store by reducing the number of different screenshot sizes on the App Store Connect Also Apple: Oh, please support both Duo sizes for screenshots by next year.

Well, I guess my indie apps are too small for the Duo workshops. Considering the amount of work there is for Padlok to adapt, that kills my motivation by a great factor

Do we speak about all the missing apps in the iPhone Duo (including messages app) or do we stay quiet about this? I guess I'll just cross fingers that my iMessage app extensions will just layout fine on the new device. Or way a couple more weeks for Beta 2 #iPhoneDuo #iOSDev

So I can get iPhone screen mirroring working in Device Hub because I'm a developer, but I cannot get iPhone Screen mirroring app on my Mac because EU won't allow it? Makes perfect sense, I guess

Remember when FoundationModels was supposed to become open-source this summer? Well, it's still summer for a few days, right? #Apple #Swift

One big change with Padlok is monetization: It now comes with a 2 weeks trial. 2 weeks is the sweet spot to actually ensure notifications work for you, and that you'll make the most of the app without engaging too much. Monthly/lifetime options are still available! #IndieDev #AppStore

Allowing a trial was made possible by a lot of structural changes within the app, and what's allowed when the app is free. The main update is you can now create as many addresses as you want. Only Premium users can access any info at any time, otherwise it is restricted to only nearest addresses.

Padlok 2026.1 have released in the App Store! I'm super proud of that full Liquid Glass revamp. I think every screen got something that changed in this release, for the best. Padlok is available in the App Store apps.apple.com/app/apple-st... #IndieDev #AppStore #LiquidGlass

What better way to start Ternus era than getting an app update refusal on App Store Connect? Asking for a friend πŸ™ˆ #AppStoreConnect #IndieDev

I'm going to raise the price of all my apps on September 1st. One week from now. Inflation and company operating cost in France led to this. But in exchange, I'm working on heavy updates for all my apps. It's the only way I can keep going crafting with love.

For @padlok.app, it will be the biggest update within my apps. Aside of the full Liquid Glass rework, a lot will land to it, including the advanced notification feature I had in mind for a while. It'll unlock the fine-tuning on where and when you should get notified about an address.

I already updated @getsharepal.app a couple weeks ago, with full Liquid Glass look and Apple Intelligence models to hydrate the created items. I'll get back to it furthermore to add more features I have in mind.

I finally take the time required to update @padlok.app look, and adopt Liquid Glass. This refresh is far from done, but already feels more than a welcome improvement to how the app looks πŸ₯°

How are we supposed to test app resizability for the iPhone fold when the path to test it is by using the non-available in EU iPhone mirroring app?

1. Run on an iOS 27 iPhone simulator. 2. In the Device Hub canvas toolbar, click Enter resize mode. 3. Drag the handles on the top/bottom/sides, or type dimensions in the field below the simulator. It snaps to the nearest valid size.

I wonder when open-source FoundationModels will land ; because I'd love to use this for my #Shipaton app server-side. I guess I could get started by self-hosting on a Mac, but that's a risk to depend on something that haven't landed yet before shipping #Swift #foundationmodels

5 days ago, I published my first update on SharePal since more than a year! Feels good to craft again! SharePal is now speaking Liquid Glass; and the custom keyboard was rebuilt around horizontal scrolling. The app isn't free; but buying it encourages my indie work! apps.apple.com/app/apple-stor..

I'm sure that @manuelkehl.bsky.social will be very happy to learn that the app I'm currently building is being designed for the Watch first. Help me to make sure the watch experience will be chief kiss from day one, which I find important in my case.

Because Apple is open-sourcing FoundationModels soon enough, Swift on the server will benefit a great abstraction for dealing with LLMs. But what about the gaps? I've extracted what FoundationModels don't provide from swift-ai (that will die) ; and here come 3 distinct new libraries (a thread 🧡)

Along with foundation-models-utilities released by Apple, it closes the gap of what swift-ai was providing, replacing the core of it with FoundationModels

swift-ai comes with a meaningful docc documentation, available on SPI. Start building your AI logic once, and use it with any model/provider, whether it's on device with Apple Intelligence, or on your server with Gemini,Anthropic or OpenAI. swiftpackageindex.com/Dean151/swif...
