Food. Like, in general. Some things have gone downhill here in North America, and you can mostly blame the sugar industry for that, but the average food quality is WAY up, from spices, to oils (ghee and sesame oil both readily available was life changing), to pasta. Most food is just better now.

However, that sugar content has also reached out to other things, too. Orange Fanta in the states, for example, has 3x the sugar as Orange Fanta in Britain, and uses artificial flavoring while the UK version uses actual orange juice. The difference is dramatic.

It also hit a bunch of other products that you wouldn't expect to have high sugar content, like Pizza Pops. I used to love those when I was younger, until about 15 years ago they started adding piles of sugar to the dough, and now it's weird and sweet and I can't stand the things anymore.

When I say to blame the sugar industry, I mostly am referencing candy, which has actually dropped in quality on most fronts as companies use less real fruit and natural flavorings and just add, like, more sugar. Fruit snacks 20 years ago were like 50x better.
