Not only an incredible talent, but a rare talent who also thought it was funny to just voice random memes every once in a while

Unbelievable loss. An amazing talent, and just a really, really good person. www.instagram.com/p/De8RFy4pyov/

I love Reddit. I can ask something unhinged like “Are there scrub daddies without faces?” And I find someone else who also has a weird imprinting “thing” with faces and get some reccs. Don’t give me a consumable thing with a face I’ll feel sorry for it and cry when I throw it away.

I saw the wildest gender reveal. Sorry for potato quality footage I was paddle boarding so I didn’t have a clear shot. Two people dressed as sharks, one pink and one blue, duking it out for an audience, until the blue one “won” and pumped its fins in victory. It’s a boy! 🦈💙

Took a sick friend some homemade soup (dropped it off on the porch along with some of my favorite cookies from a local farm stand) and it makes me feel good like I'm being someone's village. Anyway I've officially shifted into soup mode and chicken noodle was the best way to kick it off.

Finished a re-read of East of Eden tonight (audiobook) and feel good again about the series. Idk why ppl are going “ehh the series didn’t do it right” yeah it’s a 12 hour book condensed into 7 episodes, they picked a main storyline and the town of Salinas and the Hamiltons didn’t make the cut. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m just so so so grateful this was a limited series and not a dragged out soap/saga like Once Upon A Time where there’s unsubtle hints of a new character being introduced and surprise…it’s Tom Hamilton and his personal torment with heavy handed foreshadowing. Also the James Dean movie omits Lee so.

Hey if you don’t want to accidentally get bamboozled by hiring someone who uses AI, give this directory a look. This is a vetted list of human artists of various genres. I’m on it too!

Bad day. Having the kind of project experience that is going to lead me to amend my policies (a very "written in blood" moment tho way less dramatic) and a Clip Studio Paint automatic update erased some in progress files, no backup, just...gone. I want a refund on today.

I have 3 matted prints for sale that are last of stock and aren’t being printed anymore. Comment to claim and I’ll DM to get a shipping address and send an invoice. - Beaver Fever: $40 - Alberta: $40 - Morsel: $30

I didn't know that Apple holds funds for 2.5 MONTHS. Please do NOT pledge to anyone on Patreon through the ios app! I will not be taking a 30% hit for Apple's shit. Greedy AF company.

I'm so, so sad. We didn't know each other well, but she was always so kind to me. Last we talked she was being a cheerleader for my art to her contacts in Parks. She was so supportive. I'd just shared her story about the time she had to use one of my bandanas to treat a trail injury. RIP Texi.

Help artists live by commissioning them. Support their creative endeavors. Boost their posts, especially for mutual aid and openings. Leave a comment on art that you like. Tell the artist why you like it! We really need a lot of support more than ever. Even more so if you are disabled!

It’s 95 degrees so of course I did a walking tour of the Mount Hope cemetery to see the final resting places of prominent San Diegans: The Whaleys, Kate Sessions, Alonzo Horton and more, including Kate Morgan, the “ghost” that haunts the Hotel Del Coronado

Can I get a fish expert, either illustrator, scientist, or outdoors person familiar with anatomy who I can email my sketch of a Sacramento perch to check the gill cover/facial anatomy of art I’m doing for park signage? Fish are still a new-ish subject for me and I need fresh eyes plz. #SciArt 🐟

It's me, your local purveyor of fine recession indicators. We got art, we got writing, all things that are rapidly being devalued in a world where nobody can afford them anyway. I am very unemployed.

Ugh. Wrist/hand is still ouchy if I draw too long, even with compression gloves and ice wraps at night. I think I'm going to have to adjust work turnaround expectations so I can not reinjure myself. Mostly this just means Idk what new work I can take on rn. Gotta complete existing work.

Watched From Dusk Til Dawn for the first time last night, still not sure what I think of the movie (honestly I'm not a fan of Tarantino's gross self-insert BS, this was...A Lot) BUT the phrase "Fight now, cry later" is now permanently etched on my soul as an inspirational quote.
