In the time that I’ve lived here, they’ve renovated: -the apt across (with all windows open) -the apt above -the apt next door (with the door open) -the apt under Mine was a recent remodel and my oven doesn’t work, and my bdrm light is f’d up from the remodel above. Rent has gone up 11%. 😐

Would be interested to know the real numbers we’re seeing with overlap between Covid and strep. Likely steep. Very steep. Seems strep and Covid are cohabiting nicely, but most ppl assume if it’s strep, it can’t ALSO be Covid, or strep tags in at the end of Covid. Quite a pair.

Why does this entire city seem like it’s covered in urine? I’m on the 5th floor, my bedroom flooded again, and the towels I used (along with my ac) are covered in foul-smelling orange urine-ish water. Same stuff ran down the walls of my bathroom once when it flooded. Wtf.

I still don’t understand why the internet isn’t more like real life. If I think I might’ve been rude, I apologize. If I have a good conversation with someone with opposing views, I tell them I appreciated the opportunity to have that conversation. The internet is “anonymous” but we’re still people.

Today, in “Things that stupid people have proposed…” Mayor Adams of NYC has finally revealed his big plan to add more housing to the city!! He would like to revive SRO housing. He’s offered up shared bathrooms, shared kitchen, and bedrooms w/o windows. A gym to shower in “b/c it just makes sense.”

Cool 😐 WTF, Washington. 135+ potential contacts? Does everyone understand that even if they don’t have TB now, it can still become a full-blown, infectious case of TB in the future? If only there were some device one could wear over their face to block coughs…
