Had an intervention session with yr13. They wanted to look at Yr2 integration. Told them to use their desk as whiteboards. Great conversations and sharing from a group who struggle with maths. Heard them as they went down the stairs - best maths lesson I have ever had. Made my week #Alevelmaths

Reviewing ladders and hinges today in #AlevelMaths #mechanics. Question mentioned a peg, lots of very confused students. Any good examples or images I could use to explain to them what one is. Could only think of an easel.

In #MathsToday looked a bouncing particles and distance travelled using a GS. #FurtherMechanics Good discussions about link to coefficient of restitution and height after a bounce.

In #ALevelMaths #MathsToday we were reviewing mechanics mock. Made use of the desks as large whiteboard with a focus on particles on a plane and building up complexity.

In #MathsToday students gripped by seeing if 2 students in a class of 30 had the same birthday. They all thought no, I said I was sure it might happen and yes it worked.

Man City will take their two fully branded coaches, drive them to Biggin Hill, put the players and staff on a plane up to Manchester, and then drive the coaches empty up there too. And then at some point this season, they’ll take part in a Green initiative, telling fans to take public transport.
