Love having to cancel an almost year old commission because of a lack of communication and progress. Idk why I commission people anymore, sometimes it just feels like I have the worst luck of not getting any communication or transparency

Pro tip: if someone pays you in full the least you could do is update them every so often. Nothing’s more fun than confronting someone over that 10 months later and basically being told “actually I didn’t work on it at all and I already spent all the money… I can refund you later”

Really makes me just not want to commission anyone anymore unless I can get like a definite time frame on stuff

The only thing more frustrating than generative ai stuff being shoved down my throat is when I say I don’t want it and people act like I must consume their ai garbage

Everytime I go to the hardware store to buy PVC pipe for a project I feel like a fucking idiot when I have to walk through the store with a giant ten foot long bundle of pipe.

I know that a lot of “if x was y then why was it z in this movie?” Critique posts are just engagement bait… but god damn it makes me feel like media literacy is dead because like half the plot holes I see people point out in movies or shows are things that are definitively answered

Really makes me feel like cinemasins fucked an entire generation of movie viewers and made people feel like they have to nitpick every detail. A close family member is awful with this and treats any of their personal movie nitpicks like a personal debate

Me when i locked myself out of my server because I forgot to configure my remote connection correctly

So with the magic key no show policy gone now, can I get like a $5 coupon off a snack or something for the time my car actually died and I was stranded in another city and they acted like I was an employee that needed to ensure I was there on time????????????????

“Yeah it’s unsafe to drive without an alternator.” “Okay well the decision is final but you can call [customer service line] and try to see if they’ll budge”

Sometimes I feel like I have the worst luck with getting communication from artists about commissions. I don’t want to be some annoying dude but also sometimes it just feels like every message is ignored :l

This isn’t directed at any one person in particular, but it’s happened like eight times now and I feel like it’s frustrating as a commissioner to just feel ghosted when you’ve paid for something

In a way, it actively makes me not want to commission people because I've been burned too much. The longest wait I had was more than a year without updates until I finally had to get pushy about it

It’s less of an issue if it’s a pay half before or pay once you’ve seen a sketch thing, but it’s frustrating when it’s a pay up front and maybe hear back in two months or more situation

Is it a hot take to say that I think the 2012 fantasmic redo was the peak of that show and the 2017 redo felt like it was kitbashed together using audio from other defunct shows or otherwise felt bloated

Don’t get me wrong though I want it to keep existing because Disneyland desperately needs live entertainment and I’d rather have a watered down version of a great show than literally nothing in its place (but night rides on the mark twain would be nice)

Disneyland is probably one of the only places where they could bring back old entertainment and I’d be like yeah this is great I’m okay with this over the newer shows and parades. Magic happens and paint the night are pretty cash though

Like it had its cool moments but at the cost of other arguably better parts of the show, and once the dragon burned down it just felt like it lost its luster.

Family member spent thousands buying express at epic universe “because chat gpt told me the lines for each ride were longer than 5 hours” instead of you know, just googling what the average wait times were and playing it by ear. Every ride was a walk on except for the Harry Potter one apparently

The way people have responded to me about my take that avengers endgame leaned too much into fan service that it didn’t feel as compelling as infinity war makes me feel like I don’t “get” that movie. Like it was wasn’t awful but also it wasn’t really anything that blew me away

Theaters need to start kicking people out for being on their phones and talking during the movies again. Also more people need to tell loud assholes to quiet down

The concept of one hospital visit or an emergency ruining financial stability at any point is terrifying to me and I hate that that just looms over people’s heads.

And I’m talking in terms of post insurance costs. I know you can “negotiate” those down sometimes but damn the prospect of getting hurt or sick and still being on the hook for thousands of dollars is shitty

I was genuinely surprised to see this back in Adventureland. I fully assumed that it would just get replaced with a merch shelf or something post-70th anniversary.

I actively hate being referred to with “them” and I don’t know why. It’s dumb, but I guess that’s just my one weird nitpick with life

I think it's really funny that Disney invested the money into substantially upgrading the Hyperion Theater's stage and then proceeded to do literally nothing with it after the Rogers musical.

(And by funny I mean incredibly frustrating, especially when it feels like Disney has little to no actual live entertainment 90% of the time). Large-cast stage shows have always felt like a core staple of the "Disney Parks" experience, and it's silly that they've gone "Nah we have SBNO theaters"

If I want a backpack, socks, underwear, or razorblades I have to press the button to summon the (usually pissed off) walmart employee, but if I want to buy one of several hatchets or axes I can just grab that off the shelf like it's nothing. Look I get why stores do this...

... but you can't tell me that it doesn't feel performative when I can buy shit like machetes and axes off the shelf. I know that in this case it's to stop theft of those items that typically get stolen more, but seriously

Yeah no one's gonna go walk out with a machete and axe but the point is it feels so incredibly stupid that I have to summon the employee for shit as stupid as that. More often than not I'll just go to a different store that doesn't do that to save myself literally 40 extra minutes of hassle.

I’ve managed to manually invoke the chills down your spine fear sensation after deciding to just go “nah I’m not gonna be afraid of stuff” for the better part of a year

I want to see Disney make more movies like Muppet Treasure Island and the Muppet Christmas Carol again. Like there's no reason we can't have muppet retellings of some of the best stories known to human history.

I'd love original movies too, but I'm thinking in terms of creatively bankrupt "afraid to take risks" Disney

You see, ostensibly this is a play to get more muppet films made, but if you broaden your horizons a little you can see I'm establishing the foundation to build the long-sought after "Great Muppet Movie Ride" at Hollywood Studios. It'd be the perfect synergy based attraction

Had a pretty crappy day but coyote vs acme was actually a very good highlight. Go see the movie, it’s worth seeing in theaters

Fighting the urge to call in sick to work so I can lay in bed and be lazy and then also redecorate my room

Elmer Fudd being a senator in Coyote Vs Acme is one of the best bits of that movie and I can't even explain why. Actually got a genuine laugh out of me
