My term as secretary of my sword club came to an end. It was great to help shape what we do over four years, but I was getting overstretched. I know the club is in safe hands, and I will have more time for writing. Who knows, I may even send out a newsletter this century. #hema #indieauthor

Rule one of publishing a book with a white cover and a matte finish is talk about it. Rule 2 is to inspect and clean each book as Ingram frequently leave crud on the covers. #bookstagram #books #indieauthor #fantasy #portalfantasy

So @albomp.bsky.social, is this the value we share with the US?

Love reading, Plant 4 Bowden is the place to be this Saturday. So many indie books to discover. And I'll be on a panel with Stefanie Dawn and Lee Speed where we'll be discussing the business side of being an indie. #indieauthor#writerssa #business #markets

How about wages take over some of the profit share?

Damn, such a good book. Matt Dinniman is nuts in all the right ways. And the Soundbooth Theatre production is pure genius. The last song… So, how on Earth do I get them to do one of my books? I’m open to all suggestions. Laws shmores.

I’m all set at City of PAE Libraries Parks Library for the Twilight Market 5pm - 8pm tonight!

@davidshoebridge.bsky.social are you genuinely against Australia sending military aid to Ukraine?

A stocktake revealed 4 copies of On Deadly Ground, an anthology with short stories about desperate last stands. Mine features a conflict with AI warships, but humans do their best to be a bigger problem. I’d love to clear my stock as I need the space. Let me know if you’re interested. Australia only

There is a moment at the very very end of Abdul El-Sayed's podcast with Ezra Klein (book recommendation section) where he talks about the idea of "speaking truth to pain" and this will be staying with me for an extremely long time. www.nytimes.com/2026/09/25/o...

All edits are complete for Wayfarer Book 2. 140,000 words/532 pages. I am currently working on the interior layout, and the next step is the cover. Am I putting off writing the blurb? Yes, I am. That will have to be complete before I can finish the cover. #portalfantasy #fantasy #books #indieauthor
