Vote to abolish ICE. Vote to stand up to Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. Vote to reject the economic war being waged against Canada. Vote to reject the bombing of children. Vote to reject the antichrist “Christian Nationalism” movement. Vote like Jesus is watching.

There has never been a war that met Augustine’s just war criteria. Also, the only just war is a war waged by Jesus. And he didn’t.

Reminder: All true Biblical literalists will look like pirates. Or at least that’s what Jesus says.

It is through Jesus that we understand the Scriptures more fully. Jesus is the fullest revelation of God. No-one has ever seen God, but Christ who is himself God has made him known. It is through Christ that we most fully discover what God is like. ~ @josiahhawthorne.bsky.social

For American Christianity—like all forms of the Empire religion—the faith isn’t in Jesus but in human power, violence, & dominion.

The reign of Christians has most often resulted in the martyrdom of those who follow Christ. All while calling them “heretics” for insisting upon the Jesus way.

The love of guns is idolatry. And America keeps offering blood sacrifices to this god of theirs.

In Acts chapter 2, Peter directly preaches a Gospel that rejects Penal Substitutionary Atonement theory. To embrace such silliness as PSA is to reject the holy scriptures & to embrace man-made, worldly religious violence.

May you see & be the love, beauty, & kindness of Jesus’s Kingdom Come.

Those who follow Jesus are to read the Bible in such a way that it makes us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Scripture is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, & training in righteousness (the justice of God). Such a faith is lived out in our loving acts.

Art imitates life 😂 🎃

Murdering people is always bad. Even if we soften the language. Even if we add justifications. Even if the government says it ok. It’s always bad. There are no holy murders. There are no holy killings. There are no holy executions. There are no holy wars.

And they would have bragged about how doing this made them a more Christian nation too.

This America would have live streamed its crucifixion of Jesus.

God says:     I will pour out my Spirit on ALL PEOPLE. Your sons & DAUGHTERS will prophesy,     your young men will see visions,     your old men will dream dreams. Even on my servants, both men & WOMEN,     I will pour out my Spirit in those days,     & THEY will prophesy. (from Joel & Acts)
