I live in Ocean County, New Jersey, an area that voted for Trump by six % points over the state of Mississippi. It is pretty easy to feel isolated in an area that overwhelmingly supports MAGA. Today, there was a No Kings protest at Ocean County Mall and it seems Democracy is alive in Ocean County.

SO many MAGA posts on Insta trying to portray Saturday's peaceful protest as having "a weak turnout and a few violent protestors". Gaslighting and flat-out lying are enormous in the MAGA community, but the fact is that Democracy is alive and well in Ocean County, NJ.

Think about this when friends tell you that EVERYONE in America has equal rights. 60 years ago, peaceful, unarmed activists walked with purpose toward a mass of hatred in Selma, AL. 17 wound up hospitalized for simply not being white. EQUAL rights for all are worth every fight it takes. #equality
