Hello fellow #wargamers - anyone have any suggestions for an alternative to ebay for miniature selling? Just tried to list something and it forced me into using an 'AI' selling tool. Even if it wasn't naff, I really really don't want to be forced into using these LLMs.

This is interesting. The post has been liked by an account that seems to be about promotion of AI, I assume because I mentioned it and ignoring the fact I was being scathing about it...

Just reached that great point where it feels like I've got enough basic research under my belt that I can make a proper start - sometimes I just need a little piece of information that helps set the first scene - though more on coastal RDF and Coastal Command will be needed as I go.

I was delighted to be part of this project, partially but not only because it meshed quite neatly with my current main work in progress. Very happy that the author royalties are going to such a good cause.

86 years ago today the Dunkirk evacuation was mid-course. To mark the anniversary a few author pals and I compiled this anthology of short stories. It seems apt to give it a little push, not least because all author royalties go to the Taxi Charity For Military Veterans. getbook.at/MiracleDeliv...

I'd love to see this in Edinburgh, if not for the environment then just for the wails of anguish coming from certain parts of the city.

Cardiff will be the first UK city to introduce a surcharge for oversized SUVs and trucks, "while very large vehicles – those over 3,500kg – will be excluded from residential permits entirely."

These SUVs are nearly always spotless, have clearly never been used for sport or utility/have never been off road, and often have personalised number plates and tinted windows. No need for them full stop, let alone in the city, for most folks.

We're delighted to announce that Guns in the Sky by Chaz Bowyer is out now! This gripping book explores the role of ‘Tail-end Charlies’ — air gunners who faced staggering odds, with fewer than one in three surviving their missions. Stepping away from the unmitigated batshittery of the previous most powerful country in the world - has anyone else been getting emails intended for people with very similar names and email addresses? I've had emails for people with the same name as mine in Rhode Island, US and Ontario, Canada.

And now for someone with a similar name, whose email address is one full stop away from mine, in Virginia, US. All of these emails appear legit and contain personal information (so the company is potentially breaching GDPR if my emails are similarly going to other folk).

You are up to date.
