After careful consideration we've decided to stop advertising on Facebook and Instagram (and, by extension, Threads). Ads on Meta platforms were a big source of traffic for our Editor Picks and Community stories as well as new artist signups, but it's been difficult to square giving cash to these

The others are headed to a processing plant on the eastern shore for pet food. Pets gotta eat too I suppose

I got some strong reactions to a piece I wrote a couple of months ago recommending that writers maintain version histories of work to show evolution over time as "proof" of organic growth. I still think it's the best option to avoid more scenarios like this www.thebookseller.com/news/genius-...

thebookseller.com‘Genius’ novel sold in six and seven-figure deals at auction pulled over suspected AI useA crime novel has been pulled from sale by an agent after securing major six- and seven-figure deals in the US and the UK due to AI allegations.

A few pics from our trip to Spain. There is so much story fodder from this trip I don't even know where to start. I'll probably dig into a few novels set in Barcelona to see what other writers' takes have been. The last pic is from the Primavera festival (The Cure was playing here).

Spending a few days in Barcelona and heading to Bilbao tomorrow. This is such an amazing place. Only downside has been the ubiquity of jamón, which for me has the unique risk of anaphylaxis. But it’s not too hard to sidestep that porky bullet.
