There's a lot of people mad about the new Lilo and Stitch movie. Specifically the ending, and how that story changed. Spoilers in the child comments. Cause.. I wanna discuss.

The original glosses over a little, as all of these plots do, the life the older sibling needs to give up. If her parents lived, she would be away at college anyway. With the parents raising her little sister. This leaves the world in about the same place. With the neighbour filling in.

And no one complaining seems to have a legitimate answer for why it shouldnt have changed other than the obligation Nani has (apparently as a woman) to give up her own future, to raise Lilo alone.

In the original, the miracle happens, and Nani keeps Lilo and they all live together. In the live action remake, Nani does lose guardianship of Lilo and goes off to college. And it feels fine. The movie made it clear earlier on the neighbours are super close. "We're ohana too".

And Nani who is barely college aged, isn't giving up all of HER future to be a mother unexpectedly. She hasn't remotely abandoned her sister, and clearly sees her all the time. Talks to her more often again. I think it's a much more realistic ending, and a happier one.

It's kind of crazy to think there's one real job we all need to REALLY trust and rely on. Who we need when we really need them. And it's the job that lies and fucks up so often we make them all wear cameras?

Name removed because it doesn't matter. But god do I hate this. It is not remotely underrated. It made 220 million off a 47 million budget.

There have been incredible philosophers, who looked at the human condition. How we work, what even is morality. Some of them saw great truths, eons ahead of their time.

Men: We protect and provide! That's what men do Women: Ok so support your family Men: No, not like that Other Women: So you'll pay child support on time Men: No, not like that Women, LGBTQ people, dozens of other groups: Oh shit we're being attacked and need protection Men: No, not like that

You want to claim some f**king list as "Being a man"? Then BE a man. Provide a safe space for the people of the world. Provide love and joy. Protect people who are being attacked, oppressed, and hurt.

🧵 Australia’s relationship with real estate is uniquely toxic. Here, buying investment property isn’t just a wealthy person’s game. It’s treated like a retirement plan. People pull equity from their home, buy another, and expect rent to cover everything: mortgage, fees, maintenance. Zero input.

Here, homes are treated like stocks, and tenants like liabilities. Housing isn’t shelter. It’s a wealth ladder. And if you’re not on it, you’re being stepped on. Imagine asking someone to pay off every cent of your mortgage for you, but they can't put their kids picture on the wall.

It’s not like this in most countries. In Germany? Investors contribute cash. In France? Renting is long-term and secure. Here? Tenants aren’t even allowed to paint a wall or hang a picture without permission. IP owners treat real estate like their personal space and stop tenants doing the same.

SO many women have the most amazing pun names on social media. They're always exceptional. Someone named Elle, is MissElle2. Alaura is Alaurabidingcitizen. This is top tier name building skills.

There's this one game where you play as a hedgehog. Which doesn't sound that fun. But then you run real fast and turn into a ball and skip most of the level you were there to play and go "Whoa, that was fun".

Bram Stoker: What if the undead drank your blood and couldn't be killed? Mary Shelley: What if the dead were reassembled and came to life? Edgar Allen Poe: What if bird?

In July my children turn 13 and 23. Which means until my next birthday, the oldest is half my age. In November, one Friday night they will be EXACTLY half my age in days. So we're going to dinner together to celebrate this once in a lifetime moment.

Late in life realising how much of my sense of humour was crafted and curated by the little joke snippets filling space in Nana's Readers Digest collection.

Switch 2 Direct is at midnight. Predictions: - New mainline 3d Mario title. - BOTW coming back for an enhanced/DLC added version - Mario Kart 9 with a new multiplayer mechanic - Some other big RPG talk. - EA or Ubi being announced with a bunch of titles coming to Switch 2

It's nice to have a plan. What if we just didn't talk for 2 weeks because life was busy, and then I was anxious and on edge about starting the conversation again and tried a hundred times and never sent it, and you think I don't like you and we never talk again. 😭

I once killed a guy in Overwatch with like 3 bombs at once, AND he flew off a cliff. Moments later he left the game. So I said in chat "I hit him so hard I knocked him off the internet" and everyone laughed. And I think I might have peaked there.

When your code throws a "Can't be null" error on a line with no variables. :| I've done something... insane. Let's find it!

Agents of SHIELD. Season 2. When Fitz covers up the bloodwork and lies to protect Skye. It was such a beautiful moment. He's at rock bottom himself and he makes sure she's ok and puts himself in serious harms way for her. 😭

The problem with giant squishmallows. Like truly giant ones, is that there is a finite amount of them one child can posess. We already own a crab the size of her. There is no space to sleep or cuddle with another monstrous squishmallow.

I did not know Hailey Bieber was attached to Justin. I didn't really know who she was, but just thought "Oh same name". :|
