Major props to @tjacomics.bsky.social for getting me to try out the lettering side of comics again for his and Ben Perkins’ Deltron 3030 tribute comic DELTRON ETERNAL. Read the full comic here: rexco-comics.com/blogs/deltro...

One of my greater passions are Hip Hop and Comics. Troy and I have talked MF DOOM and now the underground supergroup Deltron 3030 comes to life in a tribute comic.

I spoke with @grandmasterfaqs.bsky.social about DELTRON ETERNAL, a free tribute comic inspired by Deltron 3030. Watch: [https://youtu.be/9Mdk9zYCJ88?is=S9CsdeOpY6woNLnb] The complete comic arrives Friday, Oct. 23. #Deltron3030 #IndieComics

This absolutely applies to comics too. Well worth a read. I’ve been pondering algorithmic bias a lot lately as we are running the risk of “noteworthy” indie projects only being those dictated by annual awards lists and comics criticism reduced to the Absolute and www.elle.com/culture/book...

Wrapping up my next Conan epic over the next couple of weeks... Here's a clipping from a bigger page. Cheers!

More than half of all internet users have installed an ad-blocker; Doc Searls calls it the largest consumer boycott in history.

More commissions in the can 🥫🦶

RIP Sanjulián (Manuel Pérez Clemente), 1941–2026. The Barcelona illustrator used to tell his son, “In every original I paint there is an adventure. I enjoy them and I live them while I make them, so I have had a life full of emotions.” humanoidhistory.tumblr.com/post/8306143...

Students made their first minicomics in my intro making course - mostly standard format but this student, a first time maker(!), did something so off the charts I’m still reeling from it! & he made like 12 of them for his classmates! A paper engineering feat of flipbookery as well as killer drawing!

It was this cover, this Conan, when I was 10 years old discovering comics that made me fall in love with the work of John Buscema. It is also this era and visual aesthetic of John Buscema’s Conan that is heavily coded in Black Caesar. Things are becoming full circle, indeed! IYKYK.

So so honored to be able to accept the Best Series @ringoawards.bsky.social this year for ABSOLUTE BATMAN. You guys are the reason Nick and I strive to make this the best book possible. We're beyond grateful to each and every one of you.

Superhero comics have a progressive bias.

There's a new hip-hop comic coming from me. Just like the MF DOOM one, it will be free on the Internet. This time we go to the West Coast.

A moment of petrifying clarity. Being a working creative isn't about exorcising your demons. It's making your demons pay rent.

can’t wait for the dark side of the ring episode about this guy. for context: guy shows up untrained, doesn’t do ring crew, goes way under time, and shoots on randy savage. he also let the promoter get mugged and the robber and his accomplice ended up killing a bystander during their getaway.

ALSO super proud of this roundtable by @averykaplan.bsky.social and the rest of the Beat Staff on the "All New, All Different" Marvel era and the Cebulski era. As we get ready for the Wacker/Winderbaum Era, this look back reminds us of how vibrant and engaging Marvel Comics can be.

I spend a lot of time talking about ads, KPI, etc. Every now and then, I'm reminded that the work -- not necessarily the outcome -- is the actual point. Thanks to everyone who took the time to read EISNERS SO BLACK on @comicsbeat.bsky.social: www.comicsbeat.com/sdcc-26-eisn... #CreateTheCulture
