Someone needs to know undercarriage lights on a lifted truck is not the look, man. It’s got “fluorescent lighting on warehouse floor” vibes.

On a David Cage kick recently and remembered my first time "experiencing" Heavy Rain was via a day-one camcorder let's play by a British man whose baby was crying in the background in half of the videos. A true piece of cinematography. A by-gone relic of an earlier time.

His name was TokyoDome and he had the Japanese subtitles on. I think he got Agent Norman killed in the car crushing machine. Also, the camcorder audio masked the bad accents. This is how I choose to remember the game.

Not necessarily my favorites, but most impactful on me in one way or another? Some helped me find community or connect with family, some helped me through difficult times, some built lifelong interests.

Nobody over the age of 18 should be allowed to buy Pokémon cards without their parents permission. Grown men need to look their dad in the eyes and explain what scalping is and why they need those packs instead of the 8 year old.

Capitalism isn't a democracy. Spending money isn't voting. Every time we repeat this, we forget where we actually derive power: not by being a naughty little consumer who won't consume, but by getting loud, speaking out, direct action, and making the people who stand to benefit miserable.

I know I'm not supposed to but I feel like I wasted years caring about people who ultimately couldn't be bothered to care about me. I reached out when they needed it, and they didn't have the emotional wherewithal to return the favor.

No matter how many times friends say I didn't do anything wrong, I got abandoned and didn't even get the courtesy of knowing why. Even when I finally have my feet under me just a little bit, I wake up feeling sad. I went months feeling better and then realized I was unwanted again.
