poorly thought out observations about serious issues • not as funny as i think i am • it's not about what they call you, it's about what you respond to • be good, do good

yeah see this is the problem with @bsky.app , if the algo doesn't choose you, you get zero engagement here no matter what you post. trash, bye again.

i'm back after 4 months, if i get one engagement i'll keep this app. if not it's more of the same and i'm out. just doing an experiment.

i love this because Americans will learn very quickly that our friendship in trade and society is a privilege, it's a choice. one we allow, not one we are forced to accept. it will hurt everyone if America loses sight of this, but it will hurt Americans first.

when you get a letter stating that your premium is going up and think "i could use this $42 more than those rich assholes", at the same time they're getting a letter etched in goldleaf that they are invited to a private island to celebrate earning a bonus that is 320x the average salaried worker

what the Democrats need to do in order to win is to drop the filter that makes them scared to alienate voters with their words. just say it. Hakeem Jeffries is an excellent orator but he can also just say that Marje is on the crack pipe. a diss slip, just say what our generation is thinking.

democrats need a consistent - once a month for 4 years - viral moment. calling them weird was cute. build off that. democrats need to show that they're more than Molly Maid. rattle their birdcage, call out their shit, frequently, and don't mince words, fuck their feelings. just an idea.

things that drive me up the wall about Bluesky - the photo and video attachment buttons are different. the media browser is staggeringly convoluted. just open my gallery what's with this file browser shit. i absolutely hate it enough to not use the platform. 10 taps too many for one attachment.

if Republicans had any of their shit together they'd stay away from each other until Jan 20th. they still have 2 months to fall out with each other before they take power. that's a lot of Scaramucci's.

Joe Biden should spend the next 2 months firing every registered Republican in any key positions in federal agencies, just for fucks. let the Trump admin rehire them if they want. if they're going to fire all the Democrats might as well make sure there's only Democrats left.

this shit is crazy, man. they are creating a whole ass new department just to axe other departments. and instead of putting 1 person in charge like other departments, they put 2 in charge. because efficiency or some shit. and it's the 2 worst people to co-direct an agency.

That iron ass alone was worth pushing back my gaming session by an hour

Sure millions of people wasted their evenings with that fight but millions of people also got to see Tyson's ass, and you really can't put a price tag on that.

the Mike Tyson highlights were shot on tape 4 decades ago and it has me thinking about that Big L line - and i record my battles on a camcorder / so I can sit back and watch me manslaughter //

this was the case when Truth, Gettr, and Parler came around. they couldn't leave Twitter because they needed the left to rage about their bullshit. without the left they're screaming into the void. and that kids is how Elon came about purchasing Twitter, lifting all the bans and promoting the worst.

it’s pretty funny watching the right, who thrive online off of hate and “triggering the libs”, migrate here because people are abandoning twitter the online right can’t exist without people to antagonize

people forget how contentious that time was. it's easy to sit back in retrospect and say he bought Twitter to rig elections etc etc but that gives him too much credit. he bought Twitter so liberals and the left would have to see his bullshit with no choice. that's it, that's the only reason.

i've gotten a whole ass 2 engagements in 2 days of being here. this uh, has never happened to me on a platform. a few months ago i signed up for X again, i stayed for a week and left 2,300 followers when i deactivated. h...how do i break this algo.

fight night Tyson is different Tyson. i'd leave him alone for the entire week leading up. this is a baad man.

Not known for sugarcoating his comments in the media, Mike Tyson showed that he will answer a question however he sees fit. Even if the interviewer happens to be a 14-year-old girl.

my 24hr impression of Bluesky is that it's a lot more similar to Twitter than people say. minus the ragebait, heavy on sarcasm, prone to parody. one thing about Threads is that it always feels flat. on BSky i'm making an effort to understand someone's personality instead of immediately reacting.

pop-culture has conditioned us to believe that there is a perfect human being and we must all strive to be that, and ironically in writing and cinema the most loved characters are those who are flawed.

this is a nice post to scroll by. i think there is nothing more beautiful than the human smile. let it be contagious.

Good morning. Word of the Day is as beautiful as it is underused. ‘Confelicity’ is finding joy in the happiness and success of others.

You are up to date.
