So I hadn’t planned on doing it today but at my friend’s insistence we went to the old Bighit building to see the ARMY graffiti and friends…. That was a lot. It was a lot. (More when I have a minute to compose a thread)

This isn’t just people coming to take pictures of a building. There is a REVERENCE here. There are so many messages. I love you. We love you. You saved me. Over and over and over again. On top of one another. Two stories high. ARMY and MoA’s love written and rewritten. Unending and indelible.

I think it’s an incredible testament to how Bangtan has touched us all so profoundly. We come from all over the world. We visit these sites where they were once, and leave messages to them, to each other, to the world. I can’t explain it better than that. But I will try to go back before I leave.

So the thing about the old Bighit building that you might not get from the pictures is it’s not just graffiti. But if is a LOT of graffiti. The building is covered with messages from ARMY and MoA. And not just the building but the lines on the street and the railings across the street.

But the thing that makes it special is that this is *still happening* We were there at 3pm on a random Sunday in October and there was a stream of visitors arriving, taking pictures, leaving messages, not a crowd, but it was steady. I heard several languages, apart from English and Korean.

Update: 42000th and it's 98% sold out. (It's fine. I saw BTS twice this year. I'm glad my ticketing karma went where it was most useful and needed.)
