Why is the word ‘suddenly’ like gravity to a writer? I feel it all the time. The urge to separate the next sentence, initiate action, escalate. It’s interesting to see if and when author’s use it. I don’t mind it, but others do. It’s superfluous for instant action, simultanaeity is implied. 1/2
