Unit movement and changes in priority for the Russian General Staff are likely contributing to the brief decrease in drone terror in the Kherson region, although typical “human safari” style attacks are still occurring regularly, just not as frequently as in the past 6 months.

Geolocated evidence from Ukraine Daily Update Map indicates that Varyag have also been focusing on the area around Zaporizhzhia, likely due to Russian command having a distorted view of the battlefield near the city and thinking they can apply tactical strike assets at scale in Zaporizhzhia city.

This has led to the development of a “human safari” of sorts there, with recorded strikes on public transport, civilian vehicles, and gas stations in Zaporizhzhia.

Russian drone attacks fell to their lowest level since late 2025-early 2026 this past week, with 2,013 attacks recorded by the Kherson Oblast Administration.

This trend continues to develop as units like the 50th Unmanned Systems Brigade “Varyag” have been pulled away from the Kherson Direction to attempt to slow down the progress of Operation Vivaldi in Lyman.

Three of the wounded adults were medical personnel — two female nurses and a male paramedic. Still, the casualty count continues to rise, as a fourth child victim was reported today. Ten apartment buildings, a supermarket, administrative buildings, private and municipal transport were damaged.

Using Russian-released footage, geolocations from the Ukraine Daily Update Map team, and civilian casualty reports by Ukrainian authorities, I was able to preliminarily match at least three casualties to Russian drone footage — a 73-year-old man wounded on 12 Oct.,

Updated the Ozon infographic. Added the St Petersburg Petro-Slavyanka warehouse to it. The facility is listed as 79 000 square meters but only 51 000 are the warehouse that was built and it was also a built to rent deal with the operator of the logistics park.
