Tomb Raider Catalyst confirmed - 2027

recap of last night:

It’s a sad reality in today’s social media environment that some game studios advise devs not to disclose they’re working on a specific project, or even that they’re working at that studio—all for the devs’ own protection. But that is the state of the world we make games in. 😞

The sincerely fantastic @bgmaguid.com is a game writer/narrative designer of unsurpassed wit and skill, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for same. She’s been a vital and valuable member of our team, and I know she will be to yours, should you do yourself the great benefit of hiring her.

I highly recommend the most amazing @macleodholdfast.bsky.social to anyone looking for a brilliant and experienced game writer/narrative designer. She’s been an incredible asset to our team and will be to yours, should you be smart enough to hire her.

Trump: Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years. You have got to find out what did he know with respect to Bill Clinton… all those people that knew including JP Morgan Chase.. Reporter: If there is nothing incriminating in the files, why not— Trump: QUIET! QUIET!

Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract. Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

If you think this is badass, wait until we win. katforillinois.com/legal

When did pedophilia become a partisan issue? The American people deserve to know the full truth about Jeffrey Epstein and every powerful person who enabled him. Every name. Every flight log. Every cover up. All of it.

An absolute powerhouse of a @propublica.org team has done what U.S. officials refuse to do: identify the men and women swept up in that midnight raid in Chicago. Life in the building was not perfect, but reporters found little evidence to back up government claims: www.propublica.org/article/chic...

The layoff epidemic returned to my place of employment today. I was not affected, but quite a few beloved colleagues were. My broken heart is with them. I say again: This industry is not fit for human habitation.

@wilsonforseattle.bsky.social I lean Katie, but I have an urgent question I haven’t seen addressed anywhere. I feel it’s incredibly important that Seattle’s mayor be prepared to stand up to Trump & S.Miller’s attempts to crack down on cities like Seattle. Has Katie addressed this? What’s her stance?

amazing restaurant, then karaoke, more food & drink until 2 AM. It would kill me now, but it was glorious. In Japan Itagaki-san was like a rock star; I asked him once why he did the biker jacket/shades look in public, & he said “Because they expect it of me.” I’m grateful to have known him. RIP.

I just found out that Tobunobu Itagaki has died. I spent six amazing weeks working with him & Team Ninja at Valhalla in Tokyo years ago. At work he was quiet & thoughtful, always in a cardigan & sipping hot tea. At 5 PM the biker jacket & shades came on; every night was dinner at a different +

Good advice here for anyone going to a No Kings Day event: 1) Turn off biometrics on your phone so no one can force their way into it, & 2) Turn on data synching over network so any photos/videos you take will be accessible later if your phone gets taken. www.dailykos.com/stories/2025...

Why has Dominion Voting Systems been settling defamation lawsuits with Trump allies who falsely claimed the company stole the 2020 election? Because Dominion has just been bought by a company run by a former GOP election official. Be warned.

A restraining order was issued YESTERDAY by a federal judge barring detention of journalists in this district unless they refuse to reposition themselves and are given adequate time to do so, or there’s probable cause they’ve committed a crime.

Great point from @mjtoma.bsky.social: Millions of us absolutely do see what's happening to the USA. "We are horrified, shocked, enraged, and ashamed. We are acting, in a thousand ways, to oppose it. This cannot, and will not, be how the United States ends." newrepublic.com/post/201625/...

We don't bow. We don't kneel. In America, we decide, not dictators. No thrones. No crowns. #NoKings social.demcast.com/s/Z1fEFSb8

We’re eight days away from #NoKings Day, and over 2,500 protests planned in all 50 states and across the world. October 18 is going to be the biggest day of nonviolent protest in US history — because Courage is contagious. #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory

If anything, this should be the Red Line across the isle and across the country. WTF are we doing??!! #AbolishICE If Ur heart does not break when U see this then there’s just no hope 4 U. And U should live a life w/out family, friends, a career, a roof over your head. Not even a box! #FUCKMAGA

Note that last sentence, Guard members.

It’s happened again, this time another layoff at my own studio. Several colleagues and friends were affected, and I’m sick about it. They know they have my love and support, but I just can’t stop wondering when the hell this will all stop. 😞

This checks out.

My new DL came. 1st new photo since I moved here 17 yrs ago. I compared the 2: 40 yrs old, looked 10 yrs younger, excited to start a new phase, vs 56 &, w/o my glasses, looking every yr of it. My face looks so sad & weary compared to 10 yrs ago. Never had a poker face, but wow.😥

I wanted to post this yesterday, but the news was too upsetting. More layoffs, this time at Microsoft and game studios it owns. 9000 people in all, many of those game devs. I know some of them personally. I’m so sorry, y’all. I’ve been there; MS laid me off in 2013. <3 <3 <3
