For Canadians who have heard of @gandersocial.ca , but haven't tried it, or who have questions about it: This is a very, very good interview with the founder, Ben Waldman. He details the origin of Gander, the need for age and human verification, and the importance of data sovereignty.
Here's a music video made by a trio in Canada. If you're Gen X, you'll understand the homage.
Bella. There is no "story". You are misunderstanding things, and making wildly illogical and untrue conclusions. And now you're publicly hinting at and privately making false accusations. I know the details. It is not as you're portraying. You are not seeing things clearly. You are ill. Stop.
@aprilsparkles.bsky.social hasn't been on BS lately, and there's a very good reason for that. No, it's not because she's been insanely busy with multiple projects and other activities with family. No, nothing like that. It's because she hates you all.
You are literally describing Gander.
Bluesky should go back to invites, continue aggressive bot bans, create a Craigslist-style marketplace (since you’re more likely to buy/get services from a educated or good person on here than any other social network), and market this place like a walled garden protected from enshittification.
If you're in Canada, Gander is amazing. Developers who not only listen to the users and engage, but also protect. And a community that is focused on being just that - a community. It's friendly, it's fun, and it's peaceful. It's a great representation of Canada.
We took some time to mull over the Safe Social Media Act aka C-34. We’ve read the bill and policy materials, sat in on a technical briefing, read analysis, and talked to people smarter than us (as you do). We have a few (early) thoughts. Namely: C-34 is a major improvement over C-63.

Hopefully someone can let her know so she stops worrying.
Asking for some help… Could one of you please let Raye know that I’ll be there soon? I was on my way and then got stuck waiting for not one, but two! trains. (and I got her some flowers, but don’t say that part it’s a surprise). Anyway, that’s what’s taking me so long. Thank you.
