Our Trick-or-Treat maps are back for the third year! 🎃🍬 Find local businesses handing out candy this Halloween and plan your route through the neighborhood. Check out all the maps at the link in our bio. Have a safe and happy Halloween!

What’s one reason to vote early? To re-elect my partner in government, Kathy Hochul. If we want to make housing more affordable, help get people living on our streets into housing with services, and fight back against Trump and ICE, I need Gov Hochul by my side! Find your polling site in bio

Like any self respecting horror movie… My Halloween trick-or-treat maps will return… WITH A VENGEANCE! Maps are being made and will be available soon. Like, comment, and follow to stay up to date when they are released!

Early voting starts this weekend! Now more than ever, New Yorkers must ensure that their voices are heard. For more information, please visit the link below. See your Ballot, Pollsite, and voting hours linked in bio

Great to tour the new Lidl in Chelsea and see how this new grocery store will bring more affordable food and jobs to our neighborhood. With 188 new homes at Mabel Chelsea, this project is also helping address our city’s housing shortage.

Great to join the New York Immigration Coalition’s gala! We fought to pass the MELT Act to hold ICE accountable, and now we must fight back against legal challenges to these protections. I’ll keep standing with NYIC to defend immigrant communities and protect New Yorkers.

No New Yorker should have to live in fear in their own home. I saw what my parents went through when a bad landlord pulled a knife on them. We need stronger tenant protections and accountability for landlords who abuse their power. Housing should mean safety, not fear.

New York needs leadership that stands up for our values and keeps moving our state forward. I’m proud to support Governor Hochul and look forward to helping re-elect her this November. Remember, early voting starts Saturday October 25th. See you at the polls!

We can’t solve New York’s housing crisis if we’re not willing to build. That means building everywhere, including on parking lots near Long Island’s train stations. Let’s build more homes where people can live, work, and get around without a car.

The Port Authority Bus Terminal serves millions of riders, but we must also prioritize the neighbors who live alongside it. During today’s site visit, I focused on reducing traffic and noise, addressing encampments, and creating new public open space for Hell’s Kitchen.

Great to join Hudson River Park Friends for their annual gala! Hudson River Park is what a successful public-private partnership should look like: government, nonprofits, and the community working together to create a park all New Yorkers can enjoy.

Great to join the New York League of Conservation Voters for their annual cocktail party and celebrate the advocates and leaders working to protect our environment. I’m grateful for NYLCV’s partnership and its leadership on building a cleaner, healthier New York. (1/2)

And, for the steadfast leadership of our Environmental Chair Deborah Glick for her years of service and dedication to protecting our environment. (2/2)

Great to join City & State NY to celebrate 20 years of covering New York govt., politics and policy. At a time when the White House is attacking journalists and the free press, supporting independent journalism and the reporters who keep New Yorkers informed has never been more important.

A wonderful Chelsea tradition! Joined Jason and Bailey for the Blessing of the Animals at St. Peter’s this weekend, celebrating the animals who bring so much joy to our lives. 🐾 Thanks to everyone who helped make it such a special day!

Great to join neighbors in Chelsea for The Longest Table this weekend with my husband Jason and Bailey! 🐾 Events like this bring our community together and remind us what makes Chelsea special. Thanks to everyone who made it happen!

Thank you to everyone who came to my Hells Kitchen street clean up this week. We cleaned dozens of blocks, picking up thousands of cigarette butts, and filling 5 massive bags of trash. It’s up to all of us to do our part to keep the community clean!

Thanks to everyone who came out to our Shred Day at Manhattan Plaza this week! Glad we could help our neighbors securely dispose of sensitive documents for free and protect their personal information. Thanks to our partners for making it happen!

Great to be out at PS11 this week for morning drop-off! Always good to connect with families, students, and school staff in our community. Wishing all our students a great school year! 📚

The Senate unanimously passed A101. Now the Assembly must act. Having a drink or using drugs should never be used to deny survivors justice. It’s time to close this loophole and protect every New Yorker’s right to consent.

Having a drink or using drugs should never mean forfeiting your right to consent. Under current NY law, voluntary intoxication can prevent a victim from receiving the same protections. A101 would change that. We need to pass this bill and close this dangerous loophole.

My colleagues and I in the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Caucus are teaming up with NYIC to provide a Know Your Rights Webinar. Learn practical info about how you can protect yourself and your family during interactions with ICE. Link to rsvp in bio

On 9-25, we celebrated Dolly Parton’s extraordinary legacy of giving children the opportunity to dream, learn, and imagine a bigger future. Her Imagination Library has put 300M+ books in children’s hands. Thanks to manhattanbp for bringing us together!

New York’s housing crisis and climate crisis are connected. Building more housing in walkable, transit-rich neighborhoods means fewer cars, shorter commutes, and a more sustainable city. That’s a State of Yes. Read the report linked in my bio!

Shred Days are back! 🗑️ Bring your old bank statements, bills, medical records, tax documents, and other sensitive paperwork to be securely shredded for free. Join us Tuesday, September 29, at Manhattan Plaza in Hell’s Kitchen. See you there!

Great to have Yadira and Marley from the team at the Manhattan Plaza Block Festival! It’s always a pleasure to connect with neighbors, hear what’s on your mind, and celebrate the community we’re proud to represent.

A Wind Advisory is in effect across NYC from Friday afternoon through early Sunday morning, with gusts up to 55 mph expected. Secure loose objects, charge your devices, and use caution when walking, biking, or driving. Visit the link in bio for updates.

🧹 Help us beautify our neighborhood! Join us Sept. 24, 10AM–12PM, for 20th–30th St & 8th Ave, or Oct. 1, 10AM–12PM, for 40th–50th St & 9th Ave. Sign up at the link in our bio and bring a neighbor!

Wishing everyone observing Yom Kippur a meaningful day of reflection and renewal. May we carry its lessons of compassion and accountability forward, stand against antisemitism and hate, and work toward a more united New York.

Our community is doing its part to help solve New York’s housing crisis. Matt from my team joined the groundbreaking of Chelsea Beacon, transforming the former Bayview Correctional Facility into 131 permanently affordable homes, supportive housing, and community space.

Great to tour the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America on Eighth Avenue. AFA provides free resources, socialization events to combat loneliness, and prevention education for New Yorkers of all ages. Learn more at the link in bio.

Manhattan rents just hit another record high, with the average rent reaching $6,655. This is exactly why Albany needs to act. My “State of Yes” package would build more housing, strengthen tenant protections, and tackle the shortage driving rents up. Read more at the link in bio.

NYC rents are at record highs, and too many New Yorkers are struggling to find safe, affordable homes. That’s why I’m pushing “State of Yes” to build more housing, strengthen tenant protections, and hold bad landlords accountable. Read more at the link in our bio.

TORTURE IS ILLEGAL! The regime in DC continues to use fear as their primary tool for control. Can’t win an election on the merits? Spread false narratives about immigrants and our elections. A city resists the tyranny? Send in the military. Our vision will triumph. (1/2)

When we win the midterms we will: ✅ pass policy to solve the housing crisis ✅ pass policy to address the mental health crisis ✅ UNMASK and ABOLISH ICE ✅ hold this administration accountable for all of their crimes against the American people (2/2)

Recently I spent time with the incredible community at SAGE Edie Windsor Health Fair! Since 1978, SAGE has supported LGBTQ+ elders through advocacy, resources, and community. I’m proud to fight for LGBTQ+ elders and support organizations that help spread pride every day. ❤️

13 buildings. 2.7 acres. In Nashville, that’s called “a parking lot.” In Manhattan, it’s a whole campus. And what a beautiful campus it is! I’m proud to welcome Vanderbilt University and see this landmark brought to life with jobs, opportunities, and students from around the world. 🤠

Shana Tova! As we welcome year 5787, I’m wishing everyone celebrating Rosh Hashanah a year of peace, health, and joy. At a time of rising antisemitism, bigotry, and division, may we stand together, reject hate. Because in New York, every person belongs.

Twenty-five years later, we will never forget the thousands of neighbors, friends, and loved ones murdered on 9/11,or the profound loss their absence left behind. (1/3)

I remember the unity and compassion we shared as New Yorkers and Americans, and I hope we can find that spirit again in these divided times. I am forever grateful to the first responders, survivors, families, and all who made the ultimate sacrifice. (2/3)

To honor those we lost, we must continue building the America we aspire to be: a nation of immigrants, a beacon of freedom, and a country that lifts up the least among us. Out of many, one. Never forget. (3/3)

New York needs a big, bold housing agenda. “State of Yes” would build more housing, strengthen tenant protections, invest in social housing, and make it easier to build near transit. We can build and protect. Read more at the link in bio.

Every NYer deserves a safe place to call home. Today, @ebottcher.bsky.social and I introduced a bill to securely share information among vetted outreach teams so we can better connect people with the services they need. This is one step toward ending homelessness. Learn more at the link in our bio.
