DEI is literally about merit. It’s so folks with merit do NOT get overlooked based on bias. I’m starting to suspect this government is not on the up and up, here… /s

We're lucky our insurance will cover our COVID vaccines, many people don't have that option, and public access is clearly falling short which should probably surprise no one.

Shaun O 🇨🇦@gohd21.bsky.social

Just received a call from my pharmacy to try rescheduling my Covid vaccine again for the 2nd time. For reference, I'm immunocompromised, so am eligible for the public vaccine, but their shipments of public vaccines keeps getting delayed. Private vaccine it is I guess. The UCP are useless #ableg

BC is going to learn right quick, that you get the government you deserve. How anyone could look at us here in Alberta and think, ya, I think I'd like that, is beyond me.

"I want to make it clear tonight that for as long as I am premier I will honor this mandate from Albertans & will not be holding another mandate on this issue". As the province funds a multi million dollar legal battle against the First Nations fighting the separatist question...

While I'm happy to see the undeniable stay vote, let's be clear that Smith got exactly the result she wanted. Her goal was yes to the nine, and people gave her exactly what she needed to remove more rights, keep fighting with Ottawa, and win another election.

To say I'm disappointed in Elections Alberta tonight, would be an understatement. I know they've been set up to fail, and fail they have. I was hoping they'd find a way prove us all wrong.

Flying back home from Halifax tomorrow morning. I'm fully exhausted, missing my dogs and my family, but it's been a great business trip. Got to meet people in person for the first time, that I've been working with for over 2 yrs... but I'm ready to put away the suitcase for a while.

We're home. I'm exhausted. The dogs were incredibly excited to see us. Milo had to go to vet while we were gone. That's a story for another day, but he's ok. I have to be back at the airport at 5am Sunday for work. Tight turnaround. Laundry, pack, and try to relax for 2 days is the priority.

Pool day today, and we got confirmation this afternoon that Ivy is officially trending in the right direction. I've been sent puppy pics each morning to wake up to. It was a good day. 😊 Wedding is tomorrow.

We made it! We also sat directly behind Fernando Pisani on the flight. Lol Ivy is doing better for now, I feel like I can breath. Commence vacation! 🐾🌴🍹

Was up with Ivy every 2 hours last night. I'm so tired I can barely think. She's been able to make it 3 hours at a time today. Started a bland diet. I've never been less excited to go on vacation than I am right now. I have plans in place if she doesn't improve. I just need her to be okay. 😔

Guys, it's simple. Danielle Smith is just spending $130M to ask if AB wants to separate but also $4M advertising that she doesn't want us to separate but also the UCP president says she's neutral on separation but also she says she's not neutral on separation. What's so hard to understand?

I've been thinking a lot about this latest #oilers move bringing on Formenton. I'm angry, I feel like I've gone through the stages of grief since it was announced, but more than anything, I'm angry. Apologies for the thread, I need to say a few things.

This will be our last season as season seat holders. We will not renew next year, and we will not be spending on new merch. We're going to take the money we typically would have spent and donate it to SACE instead. I encourage everyone who can to do the same.

That bringing on a sub par player, and seemingly sub par human, was done without any thought to how a sizeable portion of the fan base would feel. Because feelings don't matter, only winning matters. Which is a hell of a take seeing as this move won't help them win.

So I'm mad. I'm mad that they have taken the joy out of cheering for them. I'm mad that we'll be judged for not burning the thousands of dollars in merch we own, or for attending games because they already have our money this season. I'm mad that they've put a stain on something I love.

while I toddled around and he yelled at the tv. He died when I was 11. I cherish those memories. I gave birth to my first child during the playoffs in 97, with a hospital waiting room full of family and friends all watching the game while I was in labour.

This team is a part of who I am. So I'm pissed, especially that as a woman, this team seems unable to read the room. That a decision so incredibly tone deaf, is so easy for them to make.

This isn't the first time this team has disappointed me, I'm sure it won't be the last. This one hit different. I'm not going to relitigate why this is a shitty move, we all know why it is. It's a move that wasn't necessary, and frankly isn't worth the baggage that comes with it.

Stan can't see that, he believes in second chances. He was given one. We're known to be a second chance team, but not all second chances should be equal. I've been a die hard Oilers fan for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are watching the Oilers with my dad

New lows seemingly hourly now from Bruce McAllister. He seems to be attempting to intimidate and silence credible critics of the UCP's overtly anti-immigrant referendum questions by engaging in demeaning and disrespectful attacks. It's Trumpian thug politics.

Charles Rusnell@charlesrusnell.bsky.social

Bruce McAllister is a senior advisor to Alberta's premier. He hosted the anti-immigrant Alberta Next Panels. He attacked Senator Paula Simons for calling out the racist referendum questions. Now he's openly supporting an extremist white nationalist party's racist anti-immigration policy.

Replying to @atrupar.com

Bessent's analogy is insulting, ridiculous, & stupid. Walking away from a deal that a bully is trying to impose is a quiet show of strength. We are not harassing or cajoling the US. We are ignoring their ridiculous trade offers and insults. There's no anger like that of a spurned and ignored bully.

I may have cleared the city out of these bamboo chew sticks. Ivy and Milo LOVE them! They keep them occupied, satiate Milo's teething, and they will actually spend quiet time together enjoying them. Best find!!

Precisely this. They're yearning for the mythical Alberta of their past, not the reality of the province they actually live in.

Separatists constantly suggest Alberta has a unique "cowboy", "toil the land", & "rural" culture. Reality: - AB as urban (80% +) & diverse as rest of Canada - AB ag industry = about 2% of total economy. Ag is 1% of Ont's - The cowboy hat thing = just identity fashion like punk pins, blue hair...

My soul dog turns 5 today! She celebrated with a pawty at daycare with some of her pals. There will never be words to describe how much I love this dog. Happy Birthday Ivy! 🥳🐾♥️

Well this is some BS. Didn't elections Alberta tell everyone you didn't need a specific reason to request a mail in ballot for this stupid fcking referendum

I'm not surprised, but still disappointed. I'm not sure there's any hope left that we can stop this madness.

«Lorsqu’elle a quitté Twitter, Paula Simons avait près de 80 000 abonnés, elle y décrivait en direct les débats au Sénat et avait «un engagement incroyable» avec ses abonnés. Plus le temps passait, plus le ton s’envenimait. Auj., elle encourage ses collègues parlementaires à quitter la plateforme.»

Doesn't matter what she does or does do in any circumstance. She's going to get re-elected anyway, and she knows it. That's our reality in AB.

A strong majority of Albertans support export taxes on oil, gas and potash. Danielle Smith is offside 2/3 Albertans.
