John Ossoff is the Pete Buttigieg of Beto O'Rourkes

The Tennessee Holler @thetnholler.bsky.social

HAYES: “Trump calling Abdul a jihadist, Vance calling Talarico gay...” @ossoff.bsky.social : “Obviously it’s bigoted & offensive, but also politically weak. 40% of 🇺🇸 go without food/health care to afford gas, and they're throwing around schoolyard insults…” (From @acyn.bsky.social )

People are so damn weird about rocket boy's "demo". It's like if you kept eating something you hate...and then went back for seconds, thirds, and complaining to your friends how bad it is as they too hate eat it too. Intentionally avoiding naming names because the sooner I can move on, the better.

Watched the SpaceX videos about Starship on a flight. Everyone shown is so young. From engineers to managers to directors shown, I think I only saw one person with grey on the dome.

Looks like you're trying to affect meaningful change using a method that demands certain trade-offs. I'm sorry, but that is prohibited. Have you considered just wishing real hard for a perfect solution instead?

Just got an advertisement from a big credit card company detailing that credit cards charge interest and you can avoid interest by paying off the card each month. Then advertised a starter card with no annual fees and cash back. Really makes you think, doesn't it...

Starship is also operating on a much smaller budget. Apollo cost about $250 billion for those flights. Starship has only cost $18 billion. Nevermind that SpaceX intentionally targets ~96% of orbit so they don't go over populated areas.

Any time you see someone talking about growing class consciousness or how people are embracing socialism, remember that basically understands what it is.

Polling USA@usapolling.bsky.social

"What is your understanding of what 'Socialism' means?" Government/Elites in Control: 16% Redistribution of Wealth: 15% Public Good/Equality: 11% Government Services: 10% Community Ownership: 7% Similar to Communism/Authoritarianism: 4% Unsure: 35% Echelon / July 13, 2026

Americans really shouldn't be so secretive with finances with their social circles; financial literacy & support is very important. A group of friends shared our finances (income, spending, savings, retirement goals) and I think it was very healthy to know we're basically all in the same situation

Democrat’s Promise: “Here’s what I can do for you.” Republican’s Promise: “Here’s what I can do to them.” See the difference?

Remembered a funny little startup from days past: Unit of Work. It was a consulting firm that would help people organize and form unions. The funny part is that it was almost universally reviled on the left because capitalism subsumes all criticism or something. 🦀🦀

While it does have its problems, I could see what Vaughan (comic) and Clark (show) were going for with Y The Last Man. I greatly enjoyed it and still wish it hadn't been cancelled.

AI images are a great filter for people who actually care about an issue vs slacktivists. Case in point.

He said it himself. He loves the poorly educated.

Going through a spec sheet for work and it has an environmental impact measurement. Total carbon footprint: 2,252 kg CO2 equivalent. Of which 2237 kg is from usage. >99% of the carbon footprint is from burning carbon to power it. This is why energy policy matters so much.

If someone tells you Blue Origin's failure was in any way the same as Flight 12 other than "thing go boom", you can safely ignore that person because they have no idea what they are talking about. BO & New Glenn has a completely different operational philosophy than SpaceX/Starship.

Blowing up a pad (their only pad in this case) due to a finished vehicle is infinitely worse than losing a prototype during landing or even a test site like Starship last year. Launch sites are incredibly, incredibly expensive.

Happy election day to everyone living in Alabama, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Oregon, and Pennsylvania. Your vote will count much more today than it will count on most other days, so go freaking vote if you live in one of these states.

Some adults in this thread have forgotten what it was like to be a kid at an airshow. Instilling a sense of wonder & curiosity on the youth is worth it.

Crazy to me that people will call MGP a traitor for not voting as a progressive...when her district looks like *this*. It's not like the WA-1 where Republicans are DOA. The default is a MAGA Republican for WA-3. Political reality matters.
