Vancouver Trans March

Looking for volunteers! ✨ TDOR is coming up on November 20th, and we need volunteers to help us put on our annual event hosted with @sagah.ca and Yarrow Society! Location will be announced soon, but expect it to be at or around MacLean Park in East Van.

🕓 Volunteer needs from around 4pm-11pm (but you don't have to be on shift for all of that time) ➡️ Volunteers needed for: • Set-up/take-down • Lighting & candles • Food • Active Listening • De-escalation • Park marshals/crowd control • Stage hands • First Aid

Got some clothes that need a new home? Looking for some new pieces to add to your collection? Well we’ve got just the thing for you!

Our clothing swap is back on July 31st at Victoria Park from 6pm-9pm. Drop off your clothes starting at 3:30pm, max 5 items! Items should be clean, unscented, and in good condition (no major holes unless it’s for fashion). This is a free event! You do not need to bring clothes to take some.

Want to join the march, but need some assistance? We have two vehicles who will be taking the rear of the march and can help! Both vehicles are mask mandatory!

Vehicle A: 3 passenger seats and 1 wheelchair tie-down Vehicle B: 2 more passengers Passenger are asked to come as scent-free as possible (including essential oils) and power down their devices or put them into airplane mode, with wifi, data, and bluetooth all off.

Come make art with us THIS SUNDAY! 🎨 We need help making signage to keep the march safe and make our message clear. You can also make signs to bring to the march! No experience necessary! All materials provided. Be Gay, Make Art!

Trans Day of Visibility at Grandview Park! Tuesday March 31st from 4:40pm-7:30pm. Happening rain or shine! Come gather with the community for a fun evening in the park. Light snacks, games, and crafting supplies provided. Feel free to bring your own or bring some to share.

Help us fundraise for the Trans Day of Remembrance vigil. 🫂🕊️🕯️ November 20th, 7pm, at ‘MacLean Park’ on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, & səlil̓wətaʔɬ land.

Donations will go to our Host Nations welcome, warm food, candles, ASL interpretation, equipment, and other essentials for the vigil. Donations above our goal will be shared equally between our organisations to support future community gatherings and initiatives.

Each year, we gather with community and grieve our lost loved ones. The outdoor vigil for Trans Day of Remembrance is a grassroots effort, stewarded by small community organisations with limited funds, on unceded xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, & səlil̓wətaʔɬ land.

Did you lose something at Friday's march? You're definitely not alone 😅 If you lost sunglasses, a jean vest, a compass card, a bracelet, or a water bottle — we might have it! DM us with a description of your lost item and we'll see if we can get y'all back together 💖
