I just bought tickets to see my favorite band Chvrches! It will be their tour’s opening show in Philly in February. I forget how many times I have seen them live (I think in the 8-10 area), but it has been a while since their last tour, so I’m excited to hear the new album and go see them again 🎶😃

I just can’t believe how bad this Eagles defense has been this season. I know defense is a little more volatile year to year, but this has been a big drop off for a very talented unit with a great coordinator. I just don’t get it.

Wolverine has taken a backseat as I’ve become totally hooked on Castlevania. It is also in danger of being pushed to an even further backseat if I don’t finish it by the time the OoT remake comes out.

This 1PM window of games has zero juice.

Ugh tough loss. The late flag on that second to last play really bummed me out. It is shaping up to be a tough football season for me with the Eagles having the year from hell. Beating Miami here would have been a nice bright spot 😩

I’ve been playing Wolverine. The combat has grown on me a bit as I’ve played more, but it is still just sort of fine. But it leans so hard on the combat that it sort of needs to be better than that. The level design and other gameplay elements are just a little too bland.

My lack of optimism for the Eagles continues this week for the same reasons as last week plus more shakeups on the offensive line and more injuries. The Jags are playing really well too. This kind of just feels like a year from hell sort of situation for the Eagles.

I finished the main story of Control Resonant this week. I liked it a lot. It had a lot of that trademark Remedy stuff I enjoy so much, but overall I just didn’t love it in the same way I did the original Control or Alan Wake 2. But man… when it is cool, it is really fucking cool 🎮😃

I loved watching Nakobe Dean play on the Eagles the past few years. Especially his blitzing last year. I understand why they didn’t resign him but I definitely miss watching him. I’m glad he is doing well with the Raiders now.

My hope for the Eagles season was really based on an elite defense keeping them afloat while the offense found itself. Unfortunately the defense just hasn’t been that good so far. And now all these injuries. Not feeling optimistic about today, but hoping things can improve as the season goes on.

Still playing through Control Resonant. Pretty big game it seems. I have quite a list to come back to when I’m done (included some October releases): -Onimusha (75% done this one) -Wolverine -Ghost of Yotei DLC -Gears: E-Day -Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse -Isle of Reveries -Well Dweller

I kind of forgot that the new Gears game was coming out this year. I can’t say I’ve been all that enthused about a prequel, but I’m sure I’ll have a good time with it. Reviews are even a bit higher than I expected.

Great finish to the half. Jalen has been fantastic this year. Nice to see some success on the under center outside zone with Barkley too. Otherwise a frustrating game so far. Can’t believe how much Keenum has been dicing this defense up.

I got a couple new Funkos. I don’t get a lot of these anymore but I like to grab one for my birthday and Christmas. They still make me smile when I look at them on my shelf 😃

My first impression of Control Resonant was that the three big changes (protagonist, combat style, and setting) are things where I generally preferred the alternatives in Control 1. Ten plus hours in, I still sort of feel that way, but I’m just having a really great time regardless.

Some cool birthday gifts I got this year 😃

I had such a good birthday yesterday. I went to a mini-golf/arcade thing with one of my besties. I had my favorite Chinese food. I got some really cool gifts (I’ll share these once I get some pictures). I played a lot of Control Resonant. And I found out I passed the job interview I had last week 😃

It is my birthday today. I am usually a little sad on my birthday but I have tried to start being happier on them the past couple years. I took the next week off because it has been a stressful summer and am hoping to do a few things with friends. I will post about whatever I get up to on here 🎂😃

I’ve been excited for this one, but didn’t realize it released this week. I really liked Crypt Custodian. I’m going to work this into the rotation before year’s end for sure 🎮😃

Not an ideal third quarter!

Eagles are dominating this game but that interception really made a huge swing in the score. Much closer than it should be. I like the much more sustained offensive drives this week though. Hopefully they pull away in the second half!

I was really hoping to finish Onimusha by the time Control Resonant came out, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. And I’m going to be jumping into Control immediately. I hope I am able to return to finish Onimusha before the year is out because I’ve liked what I have played so far.

Slow Horses is back! Love this show 😃

The boss fights have been the clear highlight of Onimusha so far. Well those and the lion dogs of course 🎮🥰
