Just sent my check to the U.S. Treasury for my taxes owed for FY 2024. Funny, they trust the USPS to deliver my money to them, but do not trust them to deliver my mail-in vote!

Hey - folks who pay quarterly estimated taxes - has the IRS taken out your pre-arranged amount each quarter in 2025? I just found out that they did not take out mine for quarters 3, 4, and the first quarter of 2026, even though I have an email confirmation from last year that they would. DOGE?

@pbsnews.org I miss Laura Barrón-López.

@pbsnews.org Where is Laura Barrón-López? Her reporting was of the quality we expect and want from PBS NewsHour and I miss her contributions. Her “replacement” was in no way a lateral move.

@jonathancapehart.bsky.social Well spoke tonight on PBS.

@pbsnews.org Get rid of Gary Abernathy. He changed for the worse.

@lisad.bsky.social I always look forward to your insights. Thank you! (And I love your hair tonight.)

Great turnout for No King’s Day today in Great Barrington, MA! Small but mighty!

I am so ashamed of the president & vice president, and for America. Thus is unbearable.

One of the Ads the Washington Post refused to run

I don’t understand. During the first clown show with Trump, we were all over him about stepping away from his businesses, & now he’s hosting a Republican retreat at his Doral resort; TrumpCoin; selling merch on T*umpstore.com; and who knows what else. Have we completely given up? After one week?

There’s a cold blast on its way but we Woolly Warriors are always ready! Stay warm folks 💚 #EweGotThis

I would love to see a bunch of musical artists and celebrities put on a nationally televised tribute concert for Pres. Jimmy Carter on inauguration day with all proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity.

As we get closer to January 20, I am compiling a list of “ocracies” that we could be facing. Please add, so we are informed! Credit to whomever first said these: Serpentocracy Gerontocracy Sclerotic gerontocracy #Ocracy

“… Granger’s long absence reveals the problem with a Congress that rewards seniority & relationships more than merit & ideas. We have a sclerotic gerontocracy. We need term limits. We need to get big money out of politics so a new generation of Americans can run & serve.” Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), 48.

I’m gonna sing this song every day for the next four years. “And don’t sing along with me, cause I’m the singer.” www.facebook.com/share/r/12BP...

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the music being sung/played at the reopening of Notre Dame? Also the names of the performers?

Working on a draft of an Annual Fund letter to the patrons of my rural chamber music series, @lichgate.bsky.social, drawing on the importance of community, conviviality, and commitment. We need this now, more than ever.

Just escaped from that other platform and trying to be a small light in the dark world we have been thrown into. Love all things cats,sheep, shepherds, farming, Classical music, books, fine food, and wine. Here’s a picture of my sweet cat, Pippi.
