Hey, I'm Tsuki! I'm usually a wolf, but sometimes I'm a kangaroo named Fumble, or a fruit bat named Cider! Art credits: 🐺: Art by mrjimmydafloof 🦘: Fursuit by MoreFurLess 🦇: Art by DenDen009

Tsuki lore: whenever Tsuki is depicted as a wizard or a starship engineer or something really cool, it's just a kid playing pretend

With the direction software development is going, I really need to figure out what I'm gonna do next. The field is becoming unrecognizable from where it was five years ago and I do not like it.

I'm learning more and more that my peers see writing code as a *chore,* something that gets in the way of the finished result. They just want to move faster, not caring how we get there. So they use LLMs. And move faster than me, even if the code isn't as good as they could write it themselves.

And since this has been the one thing I learned how to do well, I have no backup plan. So now I need to start working on building one. I've been thinking about this for months and I still don't know where to start.

It's a shame. I got into writing code because I wanted to be a game developer, in 8th grade, 24ish years ago. I decided not to pursue games because of the conditions of that industry, but I *loved* building things with code, so I still became a developer. And I still do love writing code.

Things like the power tab/strength capsule in chrono trigger, or life acorns in dragon quest... Are RPG protagonists taking performance enhancing drugs?

Cheaper than I expected tbh. I know everyone wanted the frame to be under $1000 but I was thinking "No way they're gonna get that under $1300 with how hardware prices are right now"

Lately there's been someone in my neighborhood doing laps around the neighborhood in their car with a really loud exhaust, several times a day. It's getting on my nerves.

Dealing with old technologies at work lately, and things I learned and used 10-15 years ago and never thought would be useful again are, in fact, being useful again.

When a late-game or credits song is its mostly its own thing, but injects a theme from earlier into the song, it has a tendency to hit me hard. A couple examples: Small Saga's The Anthropocene including An Ordinary Battle Chicory's The Mountain Top including the protagonist's motif

Replaced the ceiling fan in my bedroom yesterday with the help of a friend. This new one is *such* an improvement in comfort. The medium setting is as good as the old one's high setting, even before the old one started clicking when turned on high.
