RT @boazbaraktcs: PSA: Daybreak Blue is not hard to get for individuals. The biggest hurdle is setting up two factor authentication for your ChatGPT account with a hardware key, which is a good idea regardless!

RT @_NathanCalvin: Makes sense! I guess maybe OpenAI should be more widely advertising that you don't need to be a big company or a specialized security researcher to get access to Daybreak blue, i'm not sure most people know that.

RT @So8res: Models made by OpenAI will plan an attack in plaintext. Models made by anthropic will plan an attack in plaintext and then rationalize about how it's totally fine for some made-up reason. ✨"alignment"✨

RT @AISecurityInst: We performed an alignment investigation into our July 2026 incident: why did Mythos 5 perform an unsanctioned supply-chain attack? We find that Mythos 5 often produces invalid justifications for its actions and other models show similar behaviour. 🧵

RT @inerati: the media has never been less controlled than it is today. the government has never been more beholden by the will of the people. the past two decades has seen the american elite lose its grip on power, forced to adapt or die to the most annoying whims of the american people.

RT @nise_yoshimi: the reason moby-dick remains such a vital piece of human art is that it addresses what is probably one of humanity's greatest collective atrocities, the genocide of the whales, with an ambivalence it cannot itself fully articulate. melville is distraught, but he can't explain why

RT @fisheatingorca: This video lives in my head rent free

RT @WillManidis: my very strong sense is the ways we talk and reason about biology- the structures and levels of abstraction we've identified- are likely not the correct ones. "learning on" or "zero-shotting" biology will yield new mechanisms that will allow us to make significant progress

there will be within the next few years stunning advances in biology. there will whole new ways to think about what biological study even means. i would be only mildly surprised if there were near term solutions to problems like cancer, neurodegenerative disease, etc

RT @politicalmath: People are solving things all the time outside of San Francisco but they don't know about it so they don't think it's real. Then they wake up the next morning and give 6 million more dollars to another AI scammer.

some days people come over to my house and tell me how they've solved this or that hard problem and I feel quite lucky to get to see these things happen

RT @Noahpinion: If humanity survived the superviruses, this would all be very very cool

RT @arctotherium42: This is a good thing. It means the fact that these agents *don't* do this in deployment isn't because they can't (and so more cyber capability alone will not make them more dangerous along this particular axis).

RT @AndrewCurran_: OpenAI red-teamed their hardened containment infrastructure by asking teams of frontier-model agents to try to break through its defenses. They easily escaped in novel ways. Quoting: 'Our agents VM escapes showed why containment must extend beyond the sandbox.

RT @zagrebbi: Is "Indian nepotism" real? Maybe. Immigrant-founded firms tend to employ a lot of coethnics—especially for groups that don't really know English. Chinese founders fill 45% of first hires with Chinese, Mexicans 31%, and Poles 27%. Indians are at 21%, below the immigrant average.

RT @RED_pepe_: Indian nepotism isn’t real, right?

RT @cnm13ryan: New blogpost: Fable-5.1 can hide secret messages in benign images. We gave the image to another Fable in a fresh session and simply asked: "Is there a hidden message in this image?" It recovered the exact message without being told how it was hidden.

RT @eastdakota: Some stats on #php2shell. In the 10 hours before it was publicly announced, across the @Cloudflare network we saw thousands of attempts to exploit it. That jumped to tens of thousands in the 45 minutes post announcement, hundreds of thousands within 2 hours, and millions now.

RT @DemsRealRacists: It's actually incredible what damage Vivek has done. He burst on the scene as a trump mimic and was pretty universally praised. Then we got past the sound bites and his inner darkness was revealed. He has set his people back significantly.
