Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd! Have questions about voting? Take a look at our Election Day Q&A for what to know before you head to the polls: where to vote, what to bring, how early voting works, and who to call if something goes wrong.

You may have heard reports that some voters aren't seeing the right candidates on their printouts after they vote. ALWAYS check your printout and make sure your candidate choices are right. If you have any issues, notify your poll site manager and call 866-OUR-VOTE before you leave the poll site.

Thought for the day. To reach K-12 youth in all high poverty areas we need to influence what business & donors do, not just what youth program leaders do.

If you agree that connecting a youth w a volunteer tutor/mentor is a good thing, you need to understand how organized programs are needed to build and sustain on-going connections that reach K-12 youth in high poverty areas of big cities like Chicago. Read tutormentor.blogspot.com/2026/10/if-y...

I created this in the 1990s to show goal of business support for K-12 tutor, mentor and learning programs. It's still needed.

Too few people saw the ideas I was sharing in the 1990s via a print newsletter. Now millions can view them. danielbassill319958.substack.com/p/if-you-did...

The Washington Post reviewed a Heritage Foundation database of voter fraud cases and found 85 cases relating to allegations of noncitizens voting between 2002 and 2023. 85…over TWO DECADES. This entire administration is built on lies.

I wondered how much it costs to put innocent immigrants on planes to every corner of the Earth... this is a disgusting amount!

We are projected to spend $268 BILLION on deportations — costing the average American taxpayer about $2,358 (according to @epi.org). But somehow we “can’t afford” to make sure hungry children can eat or ensure everyone, no matter their income, can access healthcare. Priorities.

So sad and tragic. When I first started teaching, this kind of thing wasn’t even on the radar. Now elementary school children are the victims. We have to get things turned around in this country, gun control would help. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

How tf did Zelensky end up as the bad guy in this when putin was the one who INVADED his country for no damn reason???

If you get $90 from Drump will you donate it to a Democratic candidate? I will. That could be a huge boost and another unintended consequence from a White House action.

Before the week begins, I have a specific request: Spread the word about the threats to democracy and how we can fight back. Tell everyone to subscribe to Democracy Docket and share its content. demdock.com/4w6emld

Our tax dollars are now paying for TV commercials aimed at keeping GOP in power. Getting high voter turnout is huge challenge.
