twitch.tvBacklogBoys - TwitchHi, I'm Austin (he/him) the Soda Sommelier™ and the Caffeine Curmudgeon™. You've probably seen me in chat as BB_Austin, but this is the channel where I stream. I'm focused on first playthroughs from m...

LIVE 🔴 doing a Triforce Hunt against @jakisaur.bsky.social We're gonna end up with stickers all over our faces, and probably have to a bunch of each other's challenges. It's OoTober day 6! Come cheer me on, I've never done this type of randomizer before 😅 twitch.tv/backlogboys

twitch.tvBacklogBoys - Live on TwitchMaster Quest 3-heart Deathless [ɴ64 ʜᴀʀᴅᴡᴀʀᴇ] 🏰 OoTober Day 1 🎁 1 sub = 1 rupee 💎 !OoTober | Streaming the legend of zelda: ocarina of time.

OoTober begins today with Master Quest! Earn 'Rupees' 💎 to spend on rewards like making me play a real ocarina. There's an Ocarina sub badge and a Triforce watch badge all month long, too. We're live now! 🔴 twitch.tv/backlogboys

Master of Time sends Link to a new region after saving Hyrule and Termina and growing up... "naturally" this time. An extremely seasoned, experienced, but also traumatized Link has to see if he can still be the hero. 10/22 & 10/23 www.romhacking.net/hacks/5801/

Randomizer Seeds and settings: (every Tuesday) 10/6 - 5-Dungeon Standard (my cozy settings) 10/13 - Triforce Quest (find pieces instead of beating Ganon) 10/20 - Fullsanity Max Rando (anything can be anywhere) 10/27 - friend-made Plandomizer (curated seed made by an expert)

This RomHack follows Link between OoT and MM as he searches for Navi--very cool story inspiration! Obviously this one is inspired by Ocarina and Majora, but it seems to take some cues from Twilight Princess as well. 10/8 & 10/9 www.romhacking.net/hacks/5334/

This fangame appears to focus on challenging gameplay over world-building and storytelling, but still has all of it. Tons of new items, characters, enemies, and areas. I hope my skills and logic are up for this one! 😅 10/15 & 10/16 www.romhacking.net/hacks/8640/

I'll be doing an entire month of randomizers, romhacks, and fangames all played on an N64 and CRT thanks to an Everdrive X7. I'm putting information below about each of the OoT-engine games I'll be playing:

The original RomHack! This is vanilla OoT, except the dungeons are redesigned to be a bit more challenging and cohesive. This is the 'Ura Zelda' you often hear about cancelled for the N64DD. I haven't played this since 2011 and I'm excited to re-experience it--on N64 this time! 10/1 & 10/2

Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

9 Sept

I've been planning this for a few months, but today seems like the perfect day to announce it... All of my streams during the months of October will be Ocarina of Time-themed. Introducing OoTober! Randomizer seeds each Tuesday, and Romhacks and Fangames on Thursdays and Fridays. #OcarinaofTime

9 Sept

I'll be kicking off the month on 10/1 and 10/2 with the original OoT romhack: Master Quest! It's possible to play it on N64 hardware now, too which I'm every excited about. This will be only my 2nd time playing MQ and the first was way back in 2011. Full monthly schedule forthcoming.

This is probably the biggest haul I've ever had from one trip! Details in the thread! 👇

- Odama was *not* on the list 😅 but the vendor was really nice and gave me an absurdly low price. It's also in brand new condition. - I already owned Pac-Man World 2, but my old disc was trashed and wouldn't go past a certain cutscene - I'm on a PS2 star wars kick! Still need BF1, and Ep. 3

This is probably the biggest haul I've ever had from one trip! Details in the thread! 👇

- Wasn't planning to buy Lunar, but it's in unbelievable condition and I couldn't pass up the price. The discs are literally unplayed and it's fully complete. - Can't believe I found Blue Dragon Plus in the wild! Probably the most exciting find of the trip.

And it should go without saying that all the games pictured are honorable mentions for a lot of the other categories, too.

Donkey Kong 64 has a large number of collectibles, but the Internet is full of misinformation on what exactly that number is. I present an accurate count based on comprehensive datamining, aiming to answer this question once and for all: Donkey Kong 64 has 2142 collectibles.
