THIS MESSAGE WILL REPEAT A first-person, story-driven game set in the hours before a nuclear attack. Put on some music. Cook dinner. Wait for the next broadcast. Play as two characters. Different lives. Same dread. Steam page coming soon. #indiedev #gamedev #unity #indiegamee

thoughts from a balcony #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

military helicopters fly over the city as tensions overseas continue to escalate #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

balcony views (..before a massive nuke goes off) #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

Decided to hire an artist to model my characters for me. Very happy with my decision so far #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

I've spent a lot longer on this scene than I originally planned, but it's very satisfying to see it slowly become what I've been picturing in my head! #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

I've lately been trying to make this park feel more like a park.. still working on its identity though #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

massage.exe #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

fish n chips before they send the nukes? #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

pharmacy #gamedev #indiedev #indiegames

some more building progress - love seeing these streets start to come together #indiegames #indiedev #gamedev

those sleeper agents have great psx faces lol #indiedev #gamedev #psx

Added a textured quad to each rotor to fake rotor blur, then refined the Chinooks’ speed, banking and formation as they sweep past the balcony toward the city. Starting to feel much heavier #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

Added 'setting the table' to my cooking objective, with one-shot audio clips for plates, cutlery, drawers, and cupboards. The apartment is really starting to feel alive #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

also added an animation for returning the pasta to the cooking pot - ft. some delicous sound effects #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity

I've added animations for straining the pasta. #indiedev #indiegames #gamedev #unity

New couch feels #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

Re-texturing most of my game to better match the bleakness of the story. It changes almost every day, but it’s slowly getting closer to the vision I’ve had in my head #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity #blender

Started polishing the cooking objective tonight - added a stove ignition, burner flame and some sound effects #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

I'm so stoked with how this record player has come along and even more excited to continue making the music for it #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

Some record sleeves my girlfriend made for the game. I’m very lucky to have someone so enthusiastic about the project helping me with a lot of the artwork along the way #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #gameart #blender #procreate

In my game you'll be able to select from a range of original music, while you wait for the nukes to fall on the city #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #madewithunity

Updated the cityscape a bit - more detailed buildings, better silhouettes, and a custom shader that adjusts light, contrast and atmosphere based on distance from the apartment #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity #cityscape #skyline

been chipping away at the city skyline for one of my scenes - it plays an important role in my game so I'm happy to spend as much time as needed to get it right #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #skyline #cityscape

Adding subtitles.. Tedious as hell, but necessary. Especially when two different conversations are happening at once. Timing is a little fast & off but the polish will come #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

spending another day animating this intro cutscene. I love how unity's timeline works #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #madewithunity #timeline #animation

I’ve lost more dev time going down this slide than I did actually making it. Please help I can’t stop #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

Hours before a nuclear attack Here’s a minute of what I’ve been working on lately for my game #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #madewithunity

Spent all day working on this cutscene. I'm having a lot of fun with it and there's still so much to do! Can't wait to start recruiting some voice actors #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity #cutscene

The absolute state of my animations 🤯 #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #animation

cooking up some dinner 👨‍🍳 #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

CBD ACCESS LIMITED #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

i'm having covid flashbacks while making this scene :/ #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #restrictions

Some behind the scenes stuff What I’m looking at most of the time vs what it translates into in-game. #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity

Pretty happy with how the busker has come along. Feels like he really belongs in the scene #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

scope creep has me adding buskers for no reason #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

couple of development shots from one of the scenes in my game #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

Spending much more time on this scene than i planned. I refuse to fight the scope creep #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

We have power I just run a script and it generates the powerlines between each pole, with slight variations in height, spacing and sag to give them those natural imperfections #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity

I'm letting the environment do a lot of the story telling in my game.... before the nukes go off #gamedev #indiedev #indiegames

A small look at my workflow. Create in Blender - import into Unity - see how it feels in-game. This one is a 'turned off' neon OPEN sign for a shop that's already closed for the night. #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #blender #unity

Ordinary streets in the hours before a nuclear attack Been rebuilding the 'walk home scene' with handmade buildings instead of pre made assets. It takes a lot longer, but the result already feels closer to the visual identity I want for my game #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames

replacing all the pre made buildings with my own #indiedev #indiegames #gamedev #unity #blender

Started making my own buildings today to replace some of the premade assets I was using. It’s a slower process, but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out so far #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity #blender

another bottle of hoisin sauce #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity

getting some shopping done before the nuclear apocalypse im having a lot of fun designing this scene so far #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity #blender #procreate

hours before a nuclear attack #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity #blender

started working on a small grocer today I plan to do some shopping before the nukes start fying #gamedev #indiedev #indiegames #unity

I'm really happy with how this little scene is coming along #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity

You know when you use a word so much it loses all meaning? For me its hospital. I have no idea what it is anymore #indiedev #gamedev #indiegames #unity

I love this little guy #indiedev #gamedev #magpie #australianwildlife #unity #indiegames
