Ooh idea. What if we could create ala carte feeds by union and intersection of feeds? My "for you" feed is great, but sometimes too broad now. "For you" & "quiet posters" might be on point

On reflection, intersection would be good but I think I really want tensors

This hit hard. It ties in strongly with my current train of thought: what is the cause of a problem vs what is making the problem painfully obvious

AGI only creates a crisis of human purpose if you thought human purpose was winning

There is a lot of pro and anti AI discourse happening. No matter which side you fall on, I invite you to participate in a thought experiment. Substitute "AI" with "Accelerator". How much still holds true?

I think this is a good way to separate genuine AI issues or benefits from political, social, capital, and power issues we already had.

Schwab is running ads on the theme "filthy comfortable" . I find the whole concept viscerally disgusting. Being able to live comfortably should be normal or at least a positive aspiration, not disgusting. What's really killing me is that this is normalized enough that it's a selling point.

Oh holy hell, my son is playing the lg washing machine jingle on the guitar. He's trying to find ways to sneak it into metal songs

The "for you" feed is still great, but now that I'm following and liking more people I need an extra special for you feed. I'm missing so much from a few that really hit home

So now I'm hitting those people's profiles when I see them and mass liking and replying so it seems like stalker behavior. Oof

Is there a word for polycule, but non sexual ( just affection ) ? That sounds like heaven to me

Dms are always open to friendly people.

Tomorrow is a big day, it marks both the anniversary of when I tore off the mask and when I met her. I'm not dwell physically, but fuck that, I'm going to celebrate in style. No matter the consequences. I can stand for 20 minutes if I push and that's enough to make the sugar sculpture I want to make

For her as a symbol and I'll be damned if I don't get in the fuck the 4th pit to celebrate my unmasking. Thankfully I know the scene and they'll hold me up if I can't stand on my own. They're such amazingly good people

Alts are so ridiculously great. They'll do whatever to uplift you whether you need it it or not. People suck, but the right people are beautiful

Was metal always supposed to be consumed in the original gaelic? I'm starting to wonder

My heating pad broke so my engineering mind said I have a stack of 4x4 ceramic tiles and a charcoal grill. Working out pretty well so far, I may be able to sit tomorrow

Ahem, fuck the 4th and especially fuck all the politicians and am oligarchs who corrupted the beautiful ideal I grew up wishing for.

Specifically, I'll be spending the 4th with the good people whose values and existence I thought the US ideal was meant to protect.

Wtf does my body insist on being older than I am? Fuck you body, I'm going all out for fuck the 4th no matter what you put in my way. Fuck the 4th. Again fuck the 4th. The 4th promised so much, but as someone who grew up under a regressive regime we turned the promise into worse than what I had

Oh holy hell. I just used square brackets for a parenthetical qualifier because it was on a different level than a previous round bracket parenthetical. If you see {} send help

I'm scared. My current agent action is "summoning clippy" and it's taking a while. Was there no safety check here? Like, summoning Cthulhu should require permission and clippy should probably be strictly forbidden

I'm probably going to get defenestrated for this but I'm also not fond of ricotta and think lasagna is better when made with cottage cheese instead. Taste isn't any different and the texture is much better

Anybody now a steaming music service that does 2x speed well? All I've found is YouTube but it clips like hell. A lot of music is a completely different experience at 2x.

It's too much l. I can't even process it anymore. I had to rely on autocorrect to even post this. I owe so many good ones response but it just isn't happening

Fuck, I'm actually literally blind at this point. I'm actually using bsky with my eyes closed on the PC or with a second phone using the camera to zoom the primary phone. This is insane because my vision is actually pretty good, but stress and some over luminosity have done me in

Do I know anyone that works for a large bank? I really need some domain specific advice right now

Jfc am I just a whiny bitch, no. 3 straight days of 18 hours day (1 in office at 3m lumens) soy vision is absolutely fucked but my wife wants me to hang wall paper squares where she can't reach. I suggested she do the lower ones and I'll fill in the top tomorrow

But that would mean my result is dependent on hers so I can't be blamed if the whole thing goes sideways. Sorry to vent, but screw all this

I miss the days when spam calls at least respect normal waking hours.

Giving myself a 👍 for not making a funny play on words (wrt consent vs a technical consideration) that would have been funny to 10s of people but harmful to who knows how many more. I'm slowly getting better. (It really was funny so YAR to wish people didn't do such awful shit to other people)

In today's episode of sociological experiments because I'm too worn out to do everything, well let's just say there's food available (even low effort full meals) and *I* ate dinner. :(

Listening to musicians practice or struggle to learn a song is unlocking a new type of music appreciation. There's a special joy when they get frustrated after screwing up one part ten times in a row and just go off riffing on that part until they get it out of their system. Then they dig back in...

On a related note, Enter Sandman played down tempo with held notes is an entirely different and more interesting song. Discovered because he was frustrated doing it by ear and of course the tabs were wrong

This is crazy. Yesterday something drew a parallel and made me think of Nightfall by Asimov. Also yesterday my partner heard an old radio show based on the story, looked it up and read it. Today we we debated literature and she was stunned when I finished her synopsis of it. How do you know that?:p

Trying to get to sleep is feeling like restarting a windows laptop and seeing "waiting for gpsc service to stop" and knowing there're so many more services that could hang the same way

It's 7 minutes til 1, I have 7 conversations going on and 7 other trains of thought going. I have to be up in 7 hours. Wait, this is the 8th train if thought. Damnit.

Does anyone else find that, regardless of genre, music in languages you don't understand is better? Could be selection bias in that I'd probably never discover crappy Romanian music. Still this polish pop funk song is hitting its vibe so hard I can't help happily laughing along.

Damn cat is trying to steal my beer again. ( Who am I kidding, I can't be mad at her for anything)

New quest. Get locals bands on here because I hate Instagram and they deserve a wider audience

@hidinginwalls1.bsky.social are you the shoegaze band I love? (It's the crazy old dude)

Realizing I never masked as well as I thought I did, oh well:P

I noticed poutine is popular here lately but I can't follow a script or really do anything sane so I made this

WTF isn't there an option to not notify on texts so you can share the random thing that made you appreciate someone at 2am without fear of waking them up?

Listening to Metzbow feels like having a quiet peaceful evening to myself. Chat, is this normal?

While I'm on this train of thought, I screwed up again and offer my belated apologies. If you saw the post, you know why. Sincerely, I do apoligise. I made a choice to stop masking/repressing myself and sometimes that results in a stream of consciousness gone bad. I'm learning, please bear with me

I can't add a label on a post, only media content? That's really bad. I could share something, but I also know it could be triggering so I wanted to label it to avoid triggers.
