It's fascinating seeing what dependencies Flutter apps use via Flutter Shark app. Superlist for example uses native_dio_client and http_image_provider which are packages that I wrote. They also use dio and sentry_flutter, which contain a lot of code that I wrote.

Virtually every app also depends on the *_plus packages and a surprising amount of apps also doesn't have any kind of error monitoring integrated. That's kinda wild to me.

I just found another somewhat popular Flutter app in Germany: The Finanzfluss app. It's a tool to analyze your networth, with a focus on stocks. It seems actually rather cool www.finanzfluss.de/copilot/

I'm currently on my way to Droidcon Italy in Milan. So far - my train to the airport was delayed - the stop at the airport was cancelled - despite that I arrived in time at the airport, however - the airport temporarily closed the gate and nothing departed, but nobody knows why

I'm hearing from job seekers that it's hard to get a job and I'm hearing from hiring managers that it's hard to find the right talent. Not sure what the takeaway here is

All these discussions about the Flutter architecture guides are kinda amusing to me. It just shows that architecture is way more subjective than we'd like to admit. A good architecture is also adapted to the needs of the app, so such guides are just a starting point.

I've promoted my passkit packages to version 1.0.0. It's now rather complete, functional, stable and I do not expect big API changes. You'll find them at - pub.dev/packages/pas... - pub.dev/packages/pas... - pub.dev/packages/app...

pub.devpasskit | Dart packagePure Dart library which can create and read Apple's PkPass files (which are usually shown in Apple Wallet). Works on servers and in apps.

The upcoming Flutter version has, what feels like, a bunch more deprecation notices and newly found analyzer issues than the versions before. Also, the removal of the `hashValues()` method breaks a surprising amount of libraries, which is kinda annoying.

You can add a funding entry to the pubspec.yaml and it shows up in the sidebar on the listing on pub.dev
